This product might work for some BUT I purchased these so that I could attach my Firestick to an outdoor TV that already had a HDMI cable attached. The picture went in and out, I had trouble turning it on, changing channels and you couldn't even watch the TV. When contacting Best Buy, they advised me that the Firesticks and Roku can only be plugged into the actual TV and not through an already existing HDMI cable (which acts like an extension cord).
