Been using it for a little bit now and it certainly helps with our rug no longer curling up quite as much underneath the desk chairs and even if it does this mat lets us still have full range of motion while sitting down. The only problem I have and ymmv is getting it to set totally flat, it has ended up a little wavy even after weighing it down for a few days. The mat is made very sturdy and appears to be of good quality. It would have rated 5 stars had it not been for the way it was packaged. The way it is rolled into the box (smooth side outward which is understandable since the inside has the divets that sticks in the carpet) makes it very difficult to unroll and place on the floor (very cumbersome to try and it keep rolled out when it continues to roll up again as it's being put in place). It would be great if it were rolled up with divets outward. One can always simply flip the box upside down and let the mat slide out of the box. I've bought several rolled-up chair mats. The prior two were a nightmare to get to lay flat. In contrast, this one was easy. It takes a bit to unroll, but you're set once you weigh the ends down for a day. I just put some weights I had.

I found this item on a whim while looking for a low pile carpet to place under my hubby’s office chair, which sits on wall to wall carpeting. This mat is absolutely perfect~in size, thickness, grip-ability, and quality. We love it and recommend it to others. It doesn’t move or slide around at all, it stays put due to the grippers underneath, and if the chair rolls off the mat it doesn’t have a large bump or hurdle to hop over, it’s graded so this mat hits all the bells and whistles! 5 Stars ***** ... show more

I thought I had what I would call a low pile carpet however my chair sunk in and left big dents every time I sat down. I could not roll and it was causing a lot of leg fatigue. I was going to order the next thicker one but after reading reviews on it I found it was doing the same thing so not even going to try it. So sad as this seems to be a good quality product out of the box, it unrolled after a day with books laid on it. Not sure how I am going to roll it back up to return.
