I did a practice setup in my backyard and 3 of the corner poles bent. I am worried that they will fail when I am actually camping. Also, one of the plastic collars on the shock-corded poles has a manufacturing defect. How do I get new poles? Otherwise, it is as expected and quite pleased. June 2024 Update: Ever Advanced came through in high fashion. New poles were sent quickly and in time for our first camping trip of the year. The tent was much easier to set up the second time and none of the poles bent. The degree of black out is amazing. Even in the middle of the day, it is very dark inside the tent.     • Does not do very good in high wind situations.
I set the tent up for the second time and the second day we had it up, the winds got up to about 30 mph. One of the top poles cracked and 4 of the side poles bent. Other than the poles not holding up though, the black put is amazing and the material is strong. My only complaint is that the poles are not that great. There are also no way to get any replacement poles. ... show more

    • Not What I Expected

I searched and searched before I found this tent I was looking for a black out rent for my husband, 20 year old son and I. I knew it would be raining so being waterproof was important as well. The only way to fit all 3 of our cots in the tent and still have room to walk we had to put one cot in the front compartment which meant from the outside you could see the cot budging out. Also when my sleeping bag would slide off my cot during the night and hit the tent I would wake up with a wet sleeping bag because of the condensation so anything touching it got wet at night. As far as black out it was fabulous, however when we set the tent up I could see tons of spots where it looks like the tent material was rubbing thin somehow not sure if that happened in transit, so this means I could see the light in those spot it was nothing that would keep you awake but it was noticeable (and there were ALOT). Our tent did leak we never figured out where it was coming from but the front compartment had a least 3 cups of water in it every time if rained. We constantly tripped when walking from the first compartment into the back, there is a zipper that separates those two sides from each other with a lip you have to step over to get into the back sleeping area, I actually tripped fell one time when I was getting ready to exit the tent. Because of that lip and us tripping I can't tell you how many times we knocked everything over in the tent. I would say if you are going to be camping and it is just two people with two cots when it is not going to rain this would be an ok tent. If you had a queen size air mattress there would be no room to walk. If I could I would ask for a refund not happy with the tent at all. ... show more

I’m always hesitant with buying a tent because weather is so unpredictable in Missouri. We did get a torrential downpour on our first night using this tent and there were zero leaks. Everything stayed dry. I absolutely LOVE the blackout feature inside the tent. No sunlight gets in, and if you’re using a light inside the tent, no one can see from the outside. I love the many hooks and space saving holders by the window to hold phones or the like. Zippers were easy to use and great placement. Very easy to set it up, too. The poles are color coordinated. Thick heavy stakes for the ground. Great quality all-around. Highly recommend. ... show more

Tent is made well. Went thru a severe storm 60+ mph winds. Two poles broke. They honored the warranty and replaced them quickly! Dark out is great! We purchased and the next day it went on sale. Amazon would not honor the price change.

My biggest dislike is that the blackout is on the rain fly and the super cool awning has to be closed in order to black out the tent. It’s also impossible to do the center poles by yourself because they bend in instead of out fairly easily. But when it’s up and the canopy is closed it’s wonderfully dark. Lots of pockets lots of windows and the bottom of the tent is thick. ... show more

Love the tent, stays nice and cool when everyone else’s tent is like a sauna 😎. The only complaint I have is the poles. I’ve had it out camping 4 times, and a few of the poles are starting to bow. Other than that, it’s a nice tent. Hopefully I can get replacement poles so the tent lasts me longer than a summer ... show more
