  • This Thing Is A BEAST!
I am a real person who really ordered this! I put it together by myself and easy as can be. I used it myself and I AM A WOMAN! Ladies if you need a good inexpensive rototiller I suggest this one.

  • Does a good job, not for smallish hands
Welp, they certainly did not design the power handle and button with the average size female in mind. I am 5 ft. 5 inches tall with pretty smallish bones, and I find this very difficult to hold both the handle and the power button down, but there's no other way to do it. I can just barely grip this. One interesting thing , is that this power button is on the left and it's a good thing in my case, because I am left handed and so my left hand is stronger. Not sure I would be able to operate this at all if it was on the right. Other than this somewhat huge complaint, the machine seems well made so far and I do not find it overly heavy, but then again I do lift weights, so not sure how the weight might feel to someone who does not. All I know is that it looks a lot heavier than it feels. It was easy to maneuver. I live about a mile from the beach, so my soil is loamy. So obviously I am cheating a bit, makes it super easy to till up grass turf, but it seems like a machine that will tear right through harder soils as well. I did still have to do some manual work to rake the grass out, and that does take some time, but this sure beats digging the entire thing by hand! It took me an hour in sandy soil to dig up a 3x6' area for a raised bed when I did it by hand. I could have done it in half the time with this thing. ... show more

  • Used gas tiller for sale
I really liked my Mantis, it did a great job, but for no more than I had to use it, the once a year worry of whether it would start or not combined with having to deal with keeping 2 cycle gas around was questionably worth it. My tilling amounts literally to a couple of raised beds and a small garden patch. This electric tiller is a great solution. It works really well, plenty of power, starts every time. Worth the hassle of being on an extension cord for me. My only real complaint is that it seems to throw a lot of dirt out of the bed, probably due in part to running at full speed all the time, unlike the Mantis that has more speed control and gets bogged down. For my use, this tiller is almost too big for some of the places I used the Mantis, but I really like it. Don't get me wrong, Mantis tillers are awesome and I haven't really decided to sell mine yet, but it's definitely tempting. This electric tiller is pretty cool! ... show more

  • Small size, big results
The media could not be loaded. I typically use a rear-tine tiller that weighs in excess of 100 pounds, and while it is good for large areas, it is inefficient in tight spaces that requires more control. This tiller is perfect with working in those hard to reach areas. Yes its corded, but please don't let that be a deterrent, you quickly learn the best pattern to avoid having to move the extension cord out of your way, and if you have to maneuver around the cord, the tiller is light enough to simply lift to a new position. There is a true convenience to electric tools, being able to have power at the push of a button is a time saver. This tiller is lightweight, but has enough torque to till deep while maintaining absolute control. The video I attached shows it being a bit jumpy, but thats only because I wasn't able to have both hands on the tiller. Overall, this is awesome; it's quiet, strong, easy to control, and lightweight. I was able to put this together in under ten minutes with no tools. If you need a great tiller at a reasonable price, this is an excellent option. ... show more

  • Easy Assembly and a Tough Little Tiller
I wanted something electric to use on little jobs since my gas job tiller is so picky as to when it will start and when it won't. This took a few minutes to assemble (the instructions weren't too good as the photos didn't show enough of the sections you were working on) and there wasn't much to it. It is designed so you can loosen the handle attaching bolts to allow the handlebar section to fold down, decreasing the storage height. The wheels are also attached to a an axle of sorts that has a pull-pin to adjust the position of the wheels, either all the way up or all the way down in increments. You can use the wheels to help determine how deep you are digging. All the way up--tiller wants to keep digging downward since the wheels aren't preventing it. All the way down--it only digs in as deep as you lean it forward. For something this size and relatively un-powerful compared to a gas powered tiller, it really digs in with a vengeance. It cut through some light sod and weeds with roots pretty well, with the occasional jump or leap forward like any tiller can do when the tines hit roots. It did cut through grass roots easily. But this being a small lightweight electric-powered tiller, it's obviously meant for light-duty stuff like flower beds, vegetable garden re-tilling, patching lawns with bare spots etc. Pretty handy and easy to use. ... show more

  • Easy to use
This is a handy tiller; it is lightweight and has some power. The only thing is that it takes a cord, and I don't have power all the way back in my garden. I had to run several extension cords to reach, but it did a fine job on my small garden.

  • Just what I needed
I have a raised garden bed(20x15) that I grow veggies in every summer. I'd previously had it tilled but the tiller they used was huge and hard to maneuver. There's a light wire fence around my garden, so there's not much room for error if you can't keep a handle on it. The size of this looked perfect for my needs. I was happy it's electric, I'm tired of dealing with gas motors. I put this together in a few minutes. The directions are bad, there's no text just random pictures that don't make much sense. Thankfully there aren't very many parts to assemble, 2 things plus the wheels. The wheels are plastic though which is a bummer but hopefully they hold up ok. Things have just started to thaw here in New England so I gave it a test run. Right now everything is too wet so I didn't get very far, but enough to know I'm happy! It has enough power to till up just the right depth for me. I like the size, its easy for me to manage (5'4 lady here) but strong enough to complete the task as intended. Easy to store due to the smaller footprint. I'm thrilled to have my own tiller, can't wait for the gardening season to begin! ... show more
