I put this up over my bed to hold a few pellet rifles (I live in Mass, it is illegal to have any real guns accessible without 15 locks on them). The rack is very light - went into a dry wall and feels secure. The quality of the wood might not be top notch but it's sole purpose is to hold a gun and it does that very well. After viewing this on amazon for a few weeks i finally decided to go ahead and order it.There where some mized reviews about the gun rack some good some bad.What i recieved far exceeded my expectations.For the price i was shocked this is a very nice looking sturdy gun rack.Storage is a little tight for a box of shot gun shells but other wise great!Even came with padded covers to protect your rifle/shotgun from scuffs.Is this a gun rack for an avid hunter/gun collector!?!Probably not!For the every day joe that would like a nice looking,sturdy,and inexpensive gun rack I definatley recommend it! ... show more

    • Great little shelf that looks great!
Just mounted it and was perfect for my 2 bolt actions, semi auto .22, and 870 shotgun. I used 4 longer screws that I had because the ones that came with it seemed a little too short to me, but other than that it looks great and strangely enough was delivered on a Sunday.     • A good wall rack for the money.
It is not what you would call a fine piece of furniture, but it is sturdy, well-built, and not unattractive. The vertical spacing of the supports is a little tight for scope-mounted long guns, and is does tend to tip the guns at a slight angle, but still adequate. The storage compartment is not quite large enough for a full box of 2 3/4 inch 12 ga. shot shells. The pre-drilled wall mounting holes are on precisely 16" centers so you can pick up the studs in your wall for proper support. I particularly liked the fact that the distance the rack projected from the wall was only about 4 1/2 inches, which allowed me to mount it behind an open door. The supplied self-adhesive felt strips to protect your guns finish is a nice touch. For the price, and quick delivery, you can't beat it, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive and unobtrusive long gun wall rack. ... show more

This gun rack is a very nice addition to any decor. This was purchased for my nephew to spruce up his room and to have a good place for his guns. It takes up little space and does not stick out far from the wall. The shelf is an added plus for storage and opens very easily. The racks are spaced far enough apart and allow room for guns. Just make sure that the hooks on the wall are able to handle the weight of the rack plus the guns and you are good to go. It has a rustic look and is perfect for any decor. The gun rack was packaged extremely well and came with mounting screws and smooth fabric pieces that you can add (or not) to keep your stocks from getting marred.     • Pricey for what you get!
All I can really say is, it's on the wall and most of my rifles are off the floor. The wood has no protective clear coat or shellac layer, just plain stained pine. The "hardware" for mounting is 4 - 1-1/2" basic fine thread drywall screws. With the positioning I needed, there were no studs I could tap into and I surely wasn't about to hang 50+ lbs of weapons into standard sheet rock with the "hardware" provided. Instead I used sheet rock anchors with wood screws as drywall screws have too fine a thread. The "gun felt" is another issue. What is provided is basic adhesive back Velcro (the loop side) and is black, not green, which you must attach yourself. Your rifles will lean forward unless you have slings and wedge them in place so the rifles sit upright. The small "storage? compartment" is ... well, very small. I was able to get 1 50 rd box of .357, 1 50 rd box of .45 ACP and a couple 20 rd boxes of 7.62x39, and then I squeezed in a small AK cleaning kit on top of the ammo. It is too small to fit a single 25 rd box of 12 gauge shells and nothing more can fit. From start to finish, and by myself, it took an hour and 25 minutes to complete, though I will admit I love home carpentry work so I'm a stickler when it comes to center, level, plumb and done right the first time. I hung this in my bedroom as it really lacks the luster or appeal to be hanging in the main living room for company to view. For $50 bucks, I really thought I'd be getting something a little better! ... show more
