Absolutely love this set. Bright colors and beautiful designs! The large plates are all the same design and coloring with minor variations consistent with their purported hand-painting. The small plates (2 pictured) have coordinating but different designs and colors, as do the bowls and mugs. The mug handles match the inside color. The sizes of everything are just as described and are perfect for the normal American salad plate, dinner plate, cereal bowl and coffee mug. The glaze seems nice and complete (tho I did need to return and replace two small plates that had chips on arrival but that was easily done). The glaze does make them slippery when soapy. I’ve only washed them by hand thus far to help them last longer because I’ve enjoyed them so much. And have only had them about a month so can’t speak to their durability as of yet. I also bought the matching pasta bowls and love them as well!! ... show more

These are pretty, the colors are just like the photos in the description - few minor issues like the mugs have white showing around the handles (poor quality with the design printing), and the bowls really are that tiny. I have never had bowls this small but they do work fine for certain things like miso soup or rice, maybe a small bowl of cereal. It’s not that they don’t fit it’s just so easy to spill out especially if you have kids. The plates are all the same - yellow center, but everything else has different colors. I havent had them long enough to really test with the microwave but it says they get hot. Washed them in the dishwasher on regular and that was fine. ... show more
