  • My Go-to PLA+ Fillament; I always stock up on these
Color: Cool White
I've used different filament brands and I have to say I quite like the eSun filament. I like the Cool White shade especially giving a nice, non-yellow white for bold prints. I found that my perfect settings with this filament, temps are 215 nozzle and 55 bed. I have a PEI sheet and the adhesion is great with this. I keep my retraction settings at 5mm 40mm/s and works great. Be sure to keep the nozzle a bit warmer and watch the retraction speed/distance though because I realize that sometimes the extruder would chew up the filament and slip through the gear if those settings are incorrect. Will continue to keep buying this; great quality! I highly recommend. ... show more

  • It shrinks like a man taking the polar plunge.
Color: Pine Green
Thin walls and surfaces on low infill density shrink badly. Adhesion is an issue for me under 80c and prints are the cleanest @ 196c 50-70mm/s and 199c 80-120mm/s. If I can get it to maintain adhesion with the bed and figure out the math to adjust scale to combat the shrinkage I'll be very pleased.

  • Best overall on Amazon but it has two quirks:
Color: Red
I have this in tons of colors and it typically prints great at 215c with a 50c bed on my ender 3. HOWEVER and this is a BIG however, if this filament gets wet before it's packaged it's actually some of the worst stuff I've dealt with. I think the way their spools and packaging are designed is flawed. They put the desiccant in the middle of the spool and then vacuum pack it which essentially seals off the desiccant bag entirely from the filament itself. So if the filament absorbs any moisture before being packaged, it will remain wet forever and have plenty of time to permeate deep within the filament making it very hard to dry. So if you have a new roll of this that suddenly seems to under-extrude, be brittle and not adhere to the bed or itself, send it back immediately. Save yourself a few days of hassle trying to get it dry again as you'll fail without professional tools. HOWEVER (and this too is a BIG however) this stuff is otherwise some of the easiest printing and strongest material I've worked with. So good in fact that I bought a filament dryer just to make sure every batch I get prints the lovely way it does when dry. The last 'quirk' I found out about this is that it apparently really likes to have the nozzle a bit higher from the print bed than other filaments, I think it's thermal expansion might be higher than average. I was getting stringing and boogers on every print that I felt was acceptible until my extruder started skipping. I'm pretty meticulous about leveling the bed and there were no other symptoms but I increased the nozzle gap by a little over 2x - I took my printer paper, folded it in half and gapped it loose with no dragging just barely touching instead of CHEP's (youtube) advice with a little drag on a single ply. After that, this stuff doesn't string, doesn't under extrude and I can keep increasing speed without issues. So, lower your bed a bit more than normal and go at it. This stuff is wonderful. ... show more

  • Awesome filament
Color: Fire Engine Red
I'm a homebrewer (beer) and I designed a hopper base/mount for my grain mill. The base/mount supports the weight of the grain in the hopper (plastic carboy), mates the hopper to the mill, and has ramps that direct the grain into the mill roller gap. I first tried to print this piece using Geeetech PETG filament on a Geeetech A20 printer. Unfortunately it was a stringy mess no matter what settings I tried. I read good things about eSUN PLA Pro filament (eade of PLA plus strength similar to PETG) and it did not disappoint. It printed amazing and I'll probably switch to eSUN filament for all my prints based on how well it performed for my mill thingamajig. ... show more

  • Very strong
Color: Black
One of my favorite filament brands. This filament is very strong and durable and comes in outstanding packaging.

  • The best filament I've used
Color: Black
I've used over a dozen different PLA filaments from different manufacturers over the years and the eSun PLA+, at least for the black color, beats them all. It's perfectly dimensionally stable, makes great self-adhesion between layers, appears to be much tougher than other PLA and doesn't have any obvious stringing problems. I haven't tried complex models where stringing would be a problem as yet. I haven't tried other PLA+ brands so I can't say if this is typical for PLA+, but I can recommend this filament if you're doing functional parts. 210° Nozzle 60° bed 75mm/s speed on original Ender 3 with glass bed. ... show more

  • A Little More Finicky Than Other Colors
Color: Pine Green
Color is not my main concern, when printing, but I thought that I would try this green filament. It seems to be a little bit more finicky than some of the other colors that I have used, and I assume that this has something to do with the colorant- the others have been the same manufacturer, and didn't have quite as much stringing or blobbing as I did with this roll. I will go back to Grey, Purple or Blue filament for future projects, just because they seem to print a little bit cleaner. Other than that, I like this brand- it is high quality and reliable. ... show more
