The white part in picture is grayish. There is white lines in drapes. Looks fine. After you get use to it their fine. It is complete blackout curtain. The whole curtain has the blackout backing! after I put my curtains up during daylight I turn my lights out and the room was dark,really dark except there was a little light at the bottom of curtain. I would suggest to order the next size longer curtain to take care of this problem. I just put something in front of window and the room was dark. Moved into a new house and needed matching drapes for 4 decent sized windows. I searched and searched, couldn’t decide if I wanted white, gray, or blue. I tried a few pairs and they just didn’t work. I figured I’d order one pair of these to try. After they arrived and I put them up, I immediately ordered 3 more pairs! The ombre look is great, especially for someone that can’t decide on a color! I LOVE them! The quality is very good, the blackout works well, and they’re really beautiful. Another good point, you can put them on the rods either way, light to dark, or vise versa.
