  • 100-D16-B03 is a great stand
I bought the Ergotech Triple Horizontal Arm Desk Stand (100-D16-B03) back in 2011. I originally used 3 VG236H, then a few years ago I bought 3 VG248QE, both models being about 24”. Adjusting the height on the pivots are relatively easy. Just twist the knob one way or the other. I have loosened the Hex screws just enough on the pivots to be able to adjust the monitors easily horizontally with no jerky motions. The Hex screws for the tilt motion is a little tighter so adjusting is a little harder, of course this is due to the weight of the monitor. When adjusting the tilt, it does feels like I could bend the screen and ruin it. I haven’t retightened the screws as when doing so causes the monitors to be slightly off from where I wanted it. This would force me to go through the trouble of trying to figure out how far off do I need to offset the angle to be to be able to get the monitor back to the angle I needed. It’s been a couple weeks now that I have installed 3 PG278QR’s on the stand. With the PG278QR’s there is only a slight angle of about 10 degrees with the monitors bezels touching each other. At this angle the distance from end to end is about 71-1/2in. The only problem with using it this way is that the wordings on the outside half of the outside monitors looks far away. It’s like reading a book at an angle. I need to shrink the page to the inside half of the screen, so I can read everything without squinting (slight exaggeration). I have a 36” depth desk. I believe if my desk was 48 to 60 inches deep it would be more of a match for the monitors viewing distance angle at this 10-degree angle. If I was to offset the side monitors, I could angle them a bit more, but it looks and feels a little strange because the bezels are behind the center monitor. Also, the more angle you put on the outside monitors the more loss of screen you would have as it hides behind the center monitor. The outside pivots are at the farthest out that the pivots can go on the arm. I thought the arms might bend a little since the pivots are at the farthest out but so far, they are still straight. Maybe over time the arms will start to bend. It’s not the best for 27” monitors but it looks like it’ll suffice me till I get a stand that is made for 27” monitors, then I could angle the monitors to the way I would like it, and the peripheral vision will be much better. Even with that, I believe I would still need to move the monitor a little further away. I’ve played Battlefield 1 on it and because of the physical closeness to the monitors the peripheral vision is lost. Because of this I need to turn my head to look at the side monitors and lose track of what’s going on in the center monitor, especially when sprinting. As mentioned, this is a great stand as it has accommodated me for 7 years and still holding on even with 3 - 27” monitors. ... show more

  • this triple monitor stand works great for me
Meets the need to mount 3 computer monitors securely, adjusted and aligned precisely, to make for a trouble free end user experience. I did not have any trouble getting it assembled and the monitors mounted and adjusted. For the product, I would give 5 stars. That said, I would give less than 5 stars for trying to determine whether to buy the model with wings or now. The sizing guide is based on monitor size rater than width and depth. So if the product is made for a 24" monitor, it would not provide the same adjustability for an old 24" 4:3 monitor, 16:10 monitor, or 16:9 monitor. Each may have the same diagonal, but a different width. Also, the depth of the monitor seem to be a factor as well, but this is not mentioned in the literature. I have three 24" monitors, 16:10 aspect ratio that are actually only 21-7/8" wide, and this unit barely provided the ability to adjust the angle of the right left monitors. If I had 16:9 monitors instead (would be wider for the same 24" diagonal), it wouldn't have provided the needed adjustment range, and it would have been necessary to order the model with the extra wings. Perhaps the sizing guide is for 4:3 monitors, but I did not see that stated anywhere. If the sizing guide was instead based on measured monitor width, (and perhaps the measured monitor depth as well), rather than monitor diagonal, the problem would be solved. Sizing aside, this triple monitor stand works great for me, is a high quality product, provides the needs adjustment options, and the monitors stay in the adjusted position over time. ... show more

  • Very strong and sturdy monitor stand
This is my first triple monitor stand. I am very very pleased. I would give this 5 stars but I had some minor issues. First issue was attaching the folding arms to the main pole. It was really tight to move it. I had to shimmy it a lot causing paint to break away from it. Did not like that too much, but I got over it. Should have used some oil or something. The other issue I had was that I think I needed more and better cable mounts ( or whatever they are called). A lot of people who would buy this probably want some good cable management as well. I do not think Ergotech provides enough to manage that. I used velcro ties to help with my cable management. As for the pro's- Best is the design. I LOVE the slim stand plate. I always rest things on top of it. It is almost like it isn't there. It is very sturdy and this stand is not budging. The arms are great. Most of the time I have the monitors in a surrounding setup, but I tend to move one or two monitors in positions where other people can see them or if I may just be in a different part of my desk. It is very convenient to have. I don't plan on taking the monitors off any time soon, but having the quick release is nice. They came in handy when I was first setting up and had to move monitors around to make them perfect. Tips for success- have a level handy and just be careful. Three monitors at once here. Don't want to lose them! Also if you do not happen to have all of the same screens, try to calibrate them before putting them on this stand. It was a little harder for me to get them just right when they were side by side. ... show more
