  • Great guitar, excellent value.
I bought this guitar as a starter for my 13 yo grandson. He loves it. I have been playing guitar for 50 years and have owned many instruments. For the price Epiphone has always made a decent axe at a good value but they have knocked it out of the park with this one. This thing plays great no dead spots on the fret board, although it was a little sharp. I took a file to it and fixed it up very quickly. It plays like a much more expensive guitar. The pickups although adequate for a starter could be a little better. I love playing this one too. ... show more

  • WOAH!!!
I love it! This is the best guitar I have ever played. The tone is rich and smooth just like Slash's Gibson models. The ceramic plus humbuckers give you that authentic roar that you hear in alot of 80s thrash metal and modern hard rock. The strings that come with it are pretty good. I expected them to be alittle rough due to packaging but they're better than I expected. The look feel and weight of this axe is amazing. And the fact that it has a built in tuner and Slash's snakepit logo is badass. The snakepit 15 amp isn't a bad bridge to this pack either. It's certainly no Marshall or Line 6 Spider series. But it's great for playing stuff like old school Blues or Classic Rock. From my experience playing Clapton tunes with the amp rules! If you're a fan of Rock N Roll and you're looking to buy looking to buy this guitar. I would definitely do it. You're not going to find anything else this great to fit your budget ... show more

  • Epiphone Slash AFD Les Paul
I would definitely refer this and slash les paul afd special II for anyone who wants a really good playing/sounding budget guitar set, I did minimal setup with it it was playable right out of the box didn't have to do any fret work just set string height and intonation, pickup height, tuners could be better but it does stay in tune good and the on board tuner works great, pickups are pretty decent and the Amps good for jamming at home. ... show more

  • Great guitar with a couple of minor issues.
Guitar has a vicious tone, nice wood, great p[ickups. However the guitar I received has a problem with the volume control acting as a tone knob and also cuts out sometimes. The guitar chord had to be replaced because it was cheap and cut out like a bad phone chord. I have to take it in to a local guitar shop and have the volume control fixed. Not too expensive but some additional cost. I didn't want to send it back as I otherwise love the guitar and didn't want them to send me a different one rather than just repairing it. Plus I don't want to wait that long. But certainly a great guitar for the money. No question. ... show more

  • Great all in one bundle
Great guitar I love the placement of the built in tuner and good amp

  • Dont buy the starter pack! But DO get this guitar!!
Amazing guitar for the price. Honestly plays almost as good as the Paul Reed Smith I used to have. Light weight, great sustain, built in tuner and the pick ups produce a great sound. I was shocked at how good the guitar was... HOWEVER - the amp is total crap. It cracks and pops... my suggestion is to buy the guitar by itself and spend the $100 you save on a real amp (many starters that are superior to this one are the around that price. ... show more
