  • so sick!
1: gorgeous guitar 2: after a good set up + (locking tuners & string butler) the tuning will stay even with weird open tunings and playing hard. 3: pickups actually sound really good
Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2024 by i’ve had these sauces before and they’re usually amazing. but i’m pretty sure every single sauce i received was expired or spoiled… now it’s non returnable? yikes.

  • An excellent guitar!
Love the style and look. It's relatively light compared to the Gibson original. Fret/neck took some getting used to as it is slightly different from LP model. Update: I've had it several months and must add that you need to make needed setup adjustments to the bridge for it to play properly and to stay tuned. ... show more

  • Great guitar for the money
I find little playing difference between this and the Gibson SG which is quite a bit more expensive. Thought I would need to change strings, tuning heads , possibly put Seymour Duncans on it and file frets but none of that was necessary!! Only thing I don't like is the top strap attachment. Also, it appears that the screw for the attachment is the only screw holding the neck to the body besides glue. ... show more

  • Beautiful guitar
I bought this for my 10 year old grandson who has been playing for about 2 years currently after a hiatus for a few years. He wanted an upgrade and had earned it. He is thrilled. He loves it! This is a beautiful guitar and was shipped promptly.

  • It's Top Heavy!
It's top heavy, and that makes it awkward to play if you're not used to neck dive. It means that you'll have to find a strap that will keep the neck upright. It doesn't sound like much, but I think for the money, I'buy a Les Paul. The only thing that might balance the SG would be if you put a vibrolo arm on the bridge. I'm sure that the extra weight would help. My suggestion would be to go to a music store and play an SG with a strap and you'll get a feel for the weight of the neck and how it feels. You can see viseos on other web sites about this, if you look. One thing I wouldn't do is redrill a new strap post. ... show more

  • Wish i never gave this one up
I had this guitar for about 8-10 years when i was playing regularly as a kid through adulthood, and sold it for cash when i “needed” other things…it was a great instrument and had excellent tone and versatility. I like that Epiphone redesigned the headstock to mimic their parent brand better. It is headstock heavy so you would be wise to get some strap locks and keep a firm grasp on the neck when playing - only drawback of the design. ... show more
