I was really excited about this hammock and purchased it on July 21, 2021, and have used it about 4 times in the past year. Yesterday the hammock ripped right in half as people were sitting on it. I am very disappointed as I had heard amazing things about the durability of this product and couldn't believe it when it ripped. The weight limit had not exceeded, there was one teenager (160 lbs max) and a 5-year-old on it when it broke. I use the ENO brand straps and there was no excess tension due to the positioning of the trees, so I can't really understand how my hammock ripped after very minimal uses. If you are considering buying it, buy it from the ENO website or purchase the extra 2-year warranty because you will definitely need it. ... show more

There is no better portable hammock available. Period. I have had mine for years, and have given dozens to friends/family as gifts (always with the atlas straps). I'm 6 foot, 190 pounds, and would definitely get the DoubleNest again if I had to re-purchase - and 90% of the time it's just me in the hammock. The other 10% the dog is in it with me. Can't get my wife on board for some reason... It's light and compact for traveling (about the size of a softball when packed). I keep mine in my car at all times, and have been known to pull over and lounge when driving through wooded areas. Other hammocks I've owned stayed in the closet or my camping bag because they were cumbersome or too finicky to easily deploy. This one I use at least once a week just around the house for reading, relaxing, etc. ... show more

I go to college in an area with a lot of hiking and trees so every time I go outside I have it with me, including when I go to class. Each of my friends gave in and got one too and they are so fun to set up on trees around each other and we have never had a problem with falling or hurting the trees. I always check the bark to make sure it hasn't hurt the tree but I've never seen any problem. It's super light and easy to set up or take down. ... show more

These hammocks are great, for college, for kids, for just hanging out. Our family has many. One note: Seafoam as it is pictured in the photo is NOT the color the seafoam hammock is.
