Description

Conveniently charges 4 AA or AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries at the same time. 3-5 hour charge time with auto shut off to prevent overcharging and battery damage. Manufactured in China. The charger is equipped with audio and visual alerts. A red light means that charging has started, and you will hear an audible beep when charging begins. A yellow light appears when charging is 50 percent complete and charging is continuing. A green light means charging is complete, and the batteries are 100 percent full. You will hear an audible beep upon completion. If a bad battery is detected, a red X will illuminate, and the charger generates a repetitive audible beep upon detection. Audio and visual alerts:Red light - Charging has started; audible beep when charging begins. Yellow light - Charging is 50% complete and charging. Green light - Charge is complete and batteries are 100% full; audible beep upon completion. Bad Battery Detection Alert - If a bad battery is detected a red ‘x’ will illuminate; repetitive audible beep upon detection.

I just got it a few days ago. I had almost a dozen rechargeable AA Batteries that were partially discharged and no way to recharge them. I'm impressed with the indicators on the front and little beeper that notifies me of status. It worked exactly as described. It charged the batteries much faster than I expected. I read the batteries before and after charging with my voltmeter so I can attest to the fact that it works like a champ. One very minor issue is a small frustration, but I accept that fact that nothing is perfect. One of the four positions where a battery is inserted for charging is EXTREMELY difficult to squeeze the battery into. I have strong hands and I'm able to force the battery into the slot. Most people would probably give up and return it. I am counting on the slot loosening up long before my hands grow weaker with age. (74 now). I still recommend this product to anyone, as I firmly believe this was a fluke and NOT a defect that comes with each new charger. I have no hesitation to say that this is worth the money and should arrive if perfect condition. ... show more

Twenty years ago I bought a Ray-o-Vac recharger. It charged AA and AAA batteries in four hours. I loved it. I used it to death. There were three X-Box users in the house, and batteries were constantly being charged. When it died, there was nothing on the market that compared. I bought four different chargers by different top manufacturers, including one by Ray-o-Vac. They all sucked. They either did not hold the batteries securely while charging, or it was difficult to get batteries onto the charger for charging, or they were ungainly to plug in for charging, etc. - and they ALL took 10-14 hours to charge. Then I got this charger, and I smiled again. It charges in less than four hours, hold batteries easily, and plugs in without either using the whole socket, falling out of the socket, or dropping batteries on the floor. Worked well for a while. Used it no more than 20 times. Just went to charge them after a few months and it’s screaming at me that the batteries are bad. I’m not very intelligent when it comes to tech, so I’m not sure if it’s bad batteries in general or because they sat for a few months without use. I've had this style of rechargeable battery for some years now and can say with upmost confidence it's worth it. I don't even have a slight guess on how much money this thing has saved me on batteries. Along with the long lasting effects of the batteries this product delivers everywhere it's advertised for a really reasonable price. I personally use the batteries for my Xbox which I used to play daily and the batteries would last me days to a week until I had to switch out the batteries which imo is much better and easier then having to buy a big pack that'll eventually run out.
