**Update** Just wanted to give an update and one that is more detailed. I was CONSTANTLY running out of batteries and spending ridiculous amounts of money on them. When I saw this item I was a pretty skeptical because it was so cheap for everything it included. On the other hand, I figured, why not. For the cheap price, if it didn't work that great, it wouldn't be a big hole in my pocket. I'm even happier now with the product than I was 5 months ago when I purchased it. When I first got it, I went ahead and put them all in the charger and charged them for 24 hours, because some of the reviews said that the batteries weren't fully charged on arrival, which I can understand because even if they were fully charged before original packaging, who knows how long they sat around before someone purchased them. Anyways, it comes with 4 AA batteries and 4 AAA batteries. In order to charge them, you have to have at least 2 of the same kind of battery charging. It will not charge 1 at a time and it won't charge if you put in 1 AA battery and 1 AAA battery. After charging the batteries I put 2 AAA batteries in my TV remote and 1 AA battery in my wireless mouse. I purchased this product 5 months ago and I just changed out the battery in my wireless mouse. Now keep in mind, I am a teacher so I use my computer a lot for prep work, I'm going to school online so I'm constantly on the laptop for that, and then when I have down time and don't feel like going anywhere I play games on it. So needless to say I use my computer and the mouse A LOT. I also have a bad habit of not switching the button off on the mouse to preserve the battery, so I'm sure if I had done that more often, it would have lasted longer than 5 months. Now the 2 AAA batteries I put into my TV remote, are still working perfectly fine after 5 months!! So considering the price of this package, everything that is included, and the great quality of the batteries, I HIGHLY recommend this purchase!! :-) They work great!!! I have had the same battery in my wireless mouse for 4 months now, and still has not killed the battery. Very happy with this purchase. :-) ... show more

This is a very good AA battery charger and it also does the AAA so very convenient for remote control and other things that use batteries it saves money from my point of view because you don’t have to buy them just recharge them Update the first time I used this charger it charged AA and AAA and now it will not charge my AAA at all but works fine on the AA so I don’t know what could happen to it between now and then but it’s been in a drawer and now it doesn’t work ... show more

EDIT: Since posting this originally 3-star review, I have been sent 3-5 emails by the company, kindly offering to replace my charger free of charge. I love that they stand by their product! Personally, I don't have any interest in a replacement product, but out of good faith that the one I received might have been bunk (and interest in stopping the emails), I'm increasing my review to 4 stars. The batteries are worth it on their own--still going strong! :) That said, my concerns are listed below. I love the price and the assortment of batteries, but the charger itself is the worst one I've had. The batteries came uncharged (normal, in my experience) but it's never taken me four days of charging to charge new batteries. Turns out it might have just been the lights all along! They don't always light up correctly (if at all, and when they do, they don't always turn green when finished. This does make me worried about overcharging, but I'm not sure this is a concern-- the plug disconnects from the charger itself fairly constantly, so it needs fairly regular attention anyway! That said, these are solid batteries at a great price. The cases are cute, too! It's actually a bit tough to fit the batteries in the case and keep it closed, but all in all, let's be honest-- the batteries are the important part of the purchase, and they do what they're supposed to. I've been using mine to charge my camera and my fairy lights for more than a month now, and they're still going strong! I just pop them into a different charger (it ended up being cheaper to buy a second one shortly after I bought this) and everything works out just fine. Maybe stay away from the charger on its own, but I'm a loyal fan of Amazon Basics batteries! ... show more
