The white light is great. Comfortable to wear and plenty bright, seems easy enough to use. Didn't push it on battery life yet, but seems worthwhile. I was excited for the red light while camping, though, and that turned out to be a disappointment. A friend had a headlamp with a red beam that clearly illuminated a patch three meters out, which is plenty to see the ground while walking from tents to bathroom. This one either lost focus or just wasn't bright enough even 2 meters out, so really couldn't use it for walking around in the dark at all. This was the same for both lights, which was disappointing. Got these for my husband to wear so he wouldn't have to try and balance a flashlight and spatula at the grill at night. They are bright and make it so much easier. He will also use one for when HE has to get into our crawl space under the house. He he These are made well and easy to assemble - just slip the light on to the elastic headband.
