  • Good for the car
Size: 150 Watts
I travel a lot and have to use my laptop at various stops. It has built in WiFi provided by job but battery was running low. So of these with the outlet wouldn’t even charge my laptop. This does perfectly while I also charge my phone. It can fit into a cupholder too but I keep to the side.

  • works well for laptop and other low powered devices
Size: 100 - Watt
ive purchased a few other brands but found the fan just to dang loud. i dont mind a fan but when its a constant full speed and sounds like a buzz saw in the car its just too much. anyways i found this one and liked it was fan less ive tried it out with my surface pro (65w) and it works great! i have a wattage meter and tried it with other devices like a cpap (30w) drill charger camping bed pump (50w to 75w) 32in tv (60w) nintendo switch (7w) this device is compatible with most laptop since most standard laptops are 35w 45w 65w and 90w. anything above that like a gaming laptop (150w to 300w) you will have to turn off the computer and charge the battery. you can find out your computer wattage by looking at your power brick to check the rating. you can also run the gaming computer if its in eco or low power mode as long as it stays under 100w. (mine was 65w in eco mode and its 250w max) Over all it works great its compact for travel and i recommend it! ... show more

  • No fan = no noise
Size: 100 - Watt
The EN100 works great! I use it to SILENTLY charge a Stanley fatmax via an extension cord from the 110v outlet. Also charges a 7in tablet and a Nexus 6 smartphone from the two USB ports. The fanless design is the main reason I purchased it. Replaced a 120w that was making a horrible noise from the dying fan. With the EN100 I don't have to worry about fan noise. Plus that's one less moving part to break. Got it next day with Amazon prime! Shipping Packaging was good, but needed scissors to open the final plastic package. Things to keep in mind: If you pull 100w continuously it will get hot, and it has no fan, so use this out in the open where it has airflow. 2.1 amps is the max combined current for the USB ports, I would have liked 2.1 amps each. Left USB port will charge faster, I believe at 2.1 amps. Right port seems to only charge at 1 amp even when the left is empty. There is an occasional quiet high pitched "switching" noise when drawing a lot of power from USB ports. The plug can tilt 45 degress up or down, a total of 90 deg from one extreme to the other. The plug is short, the inverter is wide. By that I mean it won't fit in 12v outlets that are recessed or right next to other things on the dash. I'd recommend a 12v extension cord or splitter (be careful with splitters, you can overload your 12v outlet and blow a fuse if you pull too much power) ... show more

  • Warning: USB charging is only 1 amp each (can't do 2A in one) and can't handle 60 watt 110v light bulb.
Size: 100 - Watt
Warning - the description is WRONG. For USB charging, each of the 2 ports can supply up to 1 amp. Yes, that's a total of 2 amps but not in a single USB port. For testing, I used a USB meter and my iPad. Using the same charging cord in another car charger, I read about 2 amps. I then plugged into this device and only read 1 amp in each port. That's fine to charge phones but not 2.1 amps needed for tablets. Another warning: I plugged in a 60 watt bulb into the 110v outlet. After about 2-3 seconds, the light went off. 3-4 seconds later it came back on. The green light on the front of this device goes off when the 60 watt bulb goes off. I conclude the bulb is overloading the 110v inverter. It works fine for smaller 110v loads (10-20 watts, like a phone charger or razor charger). It claims 100 watts but can't handle 60 watts. ... show more

  • Sweet Silence!!! No fan--- UPDATE-- problem with new model
Size: 100 - Watt
Update 5/4/2019 --- These have been working great as a silent power supply for my laptop and other equipment on solar, but I ran into a problem with my latest purchase. I have had 6 of these, and two have died through years of use. However, the latest one, which I had on hand as a spare, works fine at night, but during the day it cuts off constantly. Why? Over-voltage. It has a maximum operating voltage of 13.8 volts. And yes, I am running it over voltage. Sometimes, the solar will spike to 14.5, or on partially cloudy days, 14.9. This never bothered the older versions, but the new one shuts off anytime it goes over 13.8. In fact, I had never noticed the 13.8 volt spec before. I just assumed it could handle the normal output of a solar system or a car alternator, which can be up to about 15 volts. That is a serious DESIGN OVERSIGHT. This seems to affect only the newest models, which must have slightly different components. (Including a much brighter status LED which is actually quite blinding. Nothing tape can't fix.) Also, when this cuts out on high voltage, there is no indication. The Status LED stays solid green, but the power blinks off for a few seconds, up to a minute, or until voltage drops back below 13.8, then back on. I live off-grid with a small solar system. I have two 400-watt inverters running on independent systems, but I rarely need more that about 45 to 60 watts on each. Running the 400-watt inverters is fine, but they make a lot of noise, with fans that run almost continuously. I decided that I had enough, and bought this 100-watt inverter, because it is specifically mentioned in the reviews that it does not have a fan. Since I could not find any standard inverters that specifically mentioned not having a fan, I had to go with this one that has a cigarette-lighter plug. I used the NOCO-GC018 (link below) cable, which features a female plug adapter, an inline fuse and eyelet terminals to connect it to the posts on one of my 400-watt inverters. NOCO GC018 12V Plug Socket with Eyelet Terminal It works great. Now I can shut off my large inverter with the annoying fan when my power needs are small, and enjoy the silence of this inverter. This greatly improves my sanity, as the inverters are only 5 feet away from my work area. The ony issue I have with this inverter is that there is no power switch, meaning that you have to unplug it to shut it off. Eventually, that may cause damage to the connector. In my setup, I simply wired a switch into the positive side of the NOCO cable, so that I can turn it off without unplugging it. ... show more
