I've used this particular scope a number of times now and for its price I think it's excellent. The screen size is just right, the handle makes it easy to hold while maneuvering the scope stem and the picture quality and brightness is more than adequate for the purpose. Bear in mind that a high resolution borescope is very expensive, but this one is fine for ordinary tasks around the house or in the garage. The cable is nice and stiff and holds its shape well. I like to mark a small white line on the "up" side of the lens so I can tell what the orientation is when going into the search space. Visually the light will show about 3 to 4 feet before it becomes really dim. For the price it does what I need it to do very will. ... show more

Bought this borescope to check the cylinders of my dodge magnum, initially I borrowed a friend's more expensive older borescope, but it was really blurry and black and white. Took a chance with this borescope, and when it arrived, I was impressed by the quality of the borescope and all the extras it came with such as the extra attachments and the nice case it came with. When turning the borescope on, the screen was bright, sharp and had a nice clear colorful picture. Initially when using it to check the cylinders in the magnum, I was impressed with the clarity and clear picture. Unfortunately, the picture was so clear that it showed that the valve seats had failed in the engine and needed to be replaced. I enclosed some of the pictures that the borescope took! The only improvement that could be done that I would have to say was that the instructions are somewhat confusing, and it took a little bit of trial and error to figure out which button does which, but the picture, screen clarity and build quality of the borescope far exceeded my expectations. It is definitely a great borescope for the money and a great value that I would have expected to pay more for it. ... show more

I'm amazed at what you can get now for less than $50. The quality of the image in this scope is excellent. Nice to have variable brightness, and ESPECIALLY to have the extra "side" camera, with light. It took a little playing around with the unit and its instructions to fully understand the controls, but once I was comfortable with it, I came to believe this is a great value for the money. That said, it's not perfect. There are two limitations I'd like to note: (1) the length of the camera head limits the bend radius you can achieve - you can't go around piping that has a really sharp bend or too small of a diameter; and (2) the cable is semi-rigid. For some uses, that's great. But for me, it meant that it was too rigid for really sharp bends, and not rigid enough for me to put the camera into a roof vent pipe unless I was within three feet of it - the cable would bend before reaching the vent at the proper angle to descend. Other than those limitations, I really liked having something that does NOT depend on a cell phone or bluetooth connection. Comes in a nice case, with screw-on attachments (e.g., hook, magnet, mirror). Well done! ... show more

    • A very nice addition to the toolbox.
There are too many nice things to say. It arrived as expected and was well packed for shipping, to prevent in-transit damage. The deciding factor that swayed me to this product was the hard-side case for storage. It turns out the case was also foam padded inside. Aside from that, I was surprised at the product quality. It was better than I expected. This is a precision instrument, handy to have and can have many uses and applications. Easy to operate and explore the navigation menu. It arrived ready to go and the connectivity was not difficult, just use care in plugging the cam-cord into the controller/viewer. Read the instructions and maintain the charging protocols. I expect with proper use and care, this device will last a long time and prove it was well worth the cost. The convenience is an added bonus. The accessories were very good and I was pleased I chose this product. I will likely purchase clear protective sleeves for the camera to prevent damage to the lens.     • An amazing amount of tech for a low price!
I ordered this borescope/endoscope because of a... smell in my house. It was late January, and some animal, most likely a mouse or chipmunk, had died somewhere, and I wanted to try to locate the source of the smell presuming it was in my ductwork. I had used a different system that required a smartphone to operate - this was an all-in-one unit, and a LOT easier to use! It's very well designed - the sideways pointing camera is useful to avoid blinding yourself with the light at the end of the scope. And I love the fact that the entire system came in a portable carrying case - many competing products do not. Unfortunately I did NOT find the dead mouse - although I did find a screwdriver dropped by a workman over 10 years ago!
