  • This thing is the real deal.
Size: 16.5FT
I'm a diesel technician and over the years I've used quite a few different scopes. Yesterday I had a Isuzu engine that wasn't holding full load. Coincidentally our shop scope which is an autel is not small enough to fit down the injector holes to get a good look at the cylinder walls for damage. So I decided to buy whatever scope I could that could fit in through a 6mm hole that I could get overnighted to me. I gotta say this thing impressed the hell out of me. The picture quality is far better than any of the scopes I've used (autel, snap on, milwaukee, etc) for a fraction of the cost. The one thing that impressed me the most was that on the camera tip itself you can unscrew the cover to put accessories on it to actually reduce your size even more! I was easily able to inspect the Isuzu without even needing to remove the injectors and just going down the glow plug holes. Time will tell about durability and how long the camera lasts, because I know the picture quality tends to degrade over time with these, but from what I've read the camera is easily replaceable so another win for this thing. If you're on the fence, hope this review helps you make your decision. ... show more

  • Great picture quality awesome tool to have on hand!
Size: 16.5FT
My husband is basically a jack of all trades. If the faucet is leaky he is the plumber, if car is making a ping he is the mechanic, and so on. Having a tool like this on hand makes his job so much easier. We are actually pretty impressed with the picture quality and how well you can make out and see with the camera probe. It has a ring of leds around the end of it which is super useful since most places you would need this is usually in a deep dark hole. We were a bit hesitant to order as I wasn't sure it was something we would make use of to justify the cost however I am so glad we did. My husband has used it a few times trying to diagnose issues with our vehicles and in our home. The drain was draining a bit slow so he used this camera down the shower grate to the drain (which is pretty gross) but he did find build up and was able to use a snake to clear it out. Another nice feature is it comes in a nice quality hard plastic case. He can easily carry it around and not have to worry about damaging it. We are very satisfied with this camera. It is easy to use and has a nice clear picture. There is plenty of cord for you to send the camera quite a ways out depending on where your problem is. I like that u can take pics with it to look at after. This is one of the mpst helpful tools in the garage! ... show more

  • Impressive for the money
Size: 5FT
The media could not be loaded. Quite the leap forward from my first wireless borescope that requires an app and separate device. I just LOVE this camera! It meets all of my needs and then some. I'm a maintenance technician and don't have frequent enough cause to justify the "Pro" variations which cost more. The screen is glass, LEDs are bright, it has a zoom function, useful attachments, the camera is replaceable, you can order additional cameras of different lengths and different amounts of cameras from 1-3. The scope is as described and I'd gladly purchase/recommend Teslong moving forward. I included a video of my wife's hairdryer and pictures of slight mods. The label with the serial number and device details isn't very durable but that doesn't apply to the rest of the camera. Using my first camera; I found that the cable sheathing is easily torn up or gouged, so I used ΒΌ inch heat shrink to take the abuse instead of the camera. I would NOT shrink it, it's supposed to be a removable/replaceable barrier. The sheath almost never has to be pushed back or taken off because of tight openings. Read the instructions; if it's going to sit for anywhere near or beyond 3 months, it will be damaged unless you charge it in-between as per the instructions. ... show more

  • Nice camera while it works
Size: 16.5FT
After a couple months of use, the camera has become intermittent to the point of being unusable. No place to find support and no warranty past 90 days. As far as I can tell there isn't any way to replace the camera. If you need a borescope this unit will work for you for a while. Then not so much. I'd raise my rating if I could economically replace the camera. As it is I'll find a different unit to replace this one with. I do like the screen and the functionality of the system. Much better than the kinds that use your cell phone for the display. 7-10-22 update The Teslong folks contacted me and have supplied a new camera cable. Consequently, I have moved my rating from one star to four stars. This is a nice unit when it is working. My previous low rating was for the lack of ability of obtaining a cable. I'm hoping that Teslong will make the camera cable available as a repair part. ... show more

  • Quality product that works as described, but with caveats
Let me start by saying that I'm impressed with the quality of this borescope and it has proven to be very useful. In particular, the small diameter (5mm) has allowed me to use it in really tight spaces with limited access. I wish I'd bought one long ago. It's easy to use, works as decribed, is very well packaged and I'm happy with it. That said, there are a couple of things I've learned from using it. These aren't complaints, just observations: - The 16' snake is much longer than I've needed so far and the stiff coil can be unwieldy to work with. I could easily get by with a 4-6' snake most of the time and will check with Teslong to see if a shorter snake is available. Changing it requires unscrewing it from the monitor, but it would be a rare occurrence so it shouldn't be an issue. - If you need to need to rotate the snake for a different view or to get past an obstacle, it can be difficult because it's rigidly attached to the monitor (plus you may have the coiled extra snake length to deal with). The side camera helps sometimes, but it's only a partial solution. With this experience under my belt, I would love to have a shorter borescope with a flexible head controlled by a joystick, but that's not what I paid for and I can't justify the higher price for my limited use. Again, I have no complaints with this product and I'm glad I have it. ... show more
