I bought each of my sons one of these as well as myself. Two of my sons had their electricity turned off due to fire danger, and I am in an area that has rolling blackouts. I feel better knowing I can use a lamp, charge cell phones, and wifi if needed. It doesn't take up too much space and is very sturdy. I like the fact that it can use solar energy if you want and that when you charge it, it will stay charged until you need it. I still check it every so often. I feel good knowing that I can rely on this to power up essential things in an emergency ... show more

This is a very nice little portable power station. I am actually using this as a back up power supply in an EPS/UPS function and it works great! Switching is very quick and to the point that there is no perceptible loss in power for my camera system. Has a very nice read out, is light, well made, and competitively priced.     • Only downside is slow "EPS" relay

I'm giving it 4 stars but only because they papered over the slow UPS relay by calling it an EPS instead of a UPS. Still, I was aware of this issue before I bought the units, and determined that I could live with it. The switch-over is slow enough that it causes my monitors to power cycle, but the computer itself doesn't glitch so it works out. That is the only down-side. And even there, just having the UPS/EPS relay at all is an important feature because it means there are no losses or inefficiencies running through the unit when mains are available... very important for efficiency, particularly when the mains themselves might be an off-grid system! All the other features are a clear improvement over older models and other power stations. EcoFlow finally got the picture and put an LFP battery in, the AC output is beefy-enough for the size of the unit, the bluetooth and wifi interfaces are wonderful, particularly the remote control feature. The ability to disable timeouts for the AC and DC outputs are extremely useful. All great. The absolute best feature is the ability to control the AC charging rate as a number in excess of AC consumption. My AC mains are limited, so I set the charging rate to 100W. If I have another 100W worth of loads running, the unit will pull 200W (charge at 100W and feed the 100W in loads) . That is exactly what I needed and older power-stations don't do it. Four stars (only because of the "EPS" slow-relay sillyness). This unit is heads and tails better than Bluetti's EB3A. NOTE: It is possible to replace the fan, but it uses a 2.54mm JST connector which is not compatible with most fans. I wound up doing it anyway, replacing it with the much quieter Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX fan. It required snipping, soldering, and some heat shrink though so not for the feint of heart. Well built, very well packed, should save inner box with nice formed padding for safe transport. Charged from 115 vac in an hour. Suggest dc extension for solar panel. Note type connector each end. Even had rf filter on heavy rubber ac charge cord. Light, built in handle, usefull lcd panel, usb, 12v car port for CB etc., 2 ac: 1 3 wire, 1 2 wire. Very pleased. Sadly came too late for the hurricane as did its big brother i also ordered. But they will be here for the next one ( Florida). This one is great for light duty in emergency and great for weekend camping, sailboat, etc. Used it charge cells, couple lights, small radio. Would last about 12 to 14 hours, but turn off at sleep time to get several evenings of use. Attach 60 to 100 watt solar panel in daytime for weeks of use. ... show more

    • Works great for powering 12v fridge

I bought this primarily to power a small 12 volt Vevor 16 quart cooler fridge/freezer. I was able to run it about 10 hours on a full charge. The 12v outlet supplied no-load voltage of 12.4, and supplied - steady 12.0-12.1 volts with a 45 watt load, all the way down to 0% battery remaining. I also tested the A/C output, and it was a steady 120 volts all the way down to zero battery. Very impressive. This unit is good for light loads. It is also fairly compact and lightweight. Charging is fast. You can also slow down the charging rate in the phone app, to extend the useful life of the battery. This size model fits my use case perfectly. The one thing I did notice is that if you use the AC inverter, it does significantly impact battery life. I tested it with a 66 W load, which in theory should give a solid three hours of runtime even assuming a 20% loss, and I only got about 2 1/2 hours. I think the new river 3’s that just came out have a much more efficient inverter. Next one will likely be a much bigger one to power larger items. ... show more

Eco Flow makes a quality made batt backup, (I got it to keep the house lights on in power outages) No-brainer setup, Breeze to runs lights in power outages plug your lamps and WHAMBANG, no sitting in the dark, house lights back on. portable and lightweight (ya the bigger ones last longer BUT their far more expensive and super heavy) Can be charged with solar panels, used in auto. SUPER cost effective...SO like it's a sweet deal from Amazon. Get one, won't break the bank either. ... show more

I'm super impressed so far with how well it stays charged and how long it lasts. I have it plugged into a 12v power socket in my car and it runs a car sized refrigerator that's always on, a mobile hotspot, and laptop charger and I have yet to have it drop below 90%, even over the weekend with no power to it. My next step is to get solar for it and try it out, might need to buy another. ... show more
