  • Vibration and volume
Style: Generator
The media could not be loaded. I added photos of what items are included. The two plugs are not adapters. They are in case you need to convert what you have. The funnel is for the oil and works well. Based on what another reviewer said I didn’t pour all the oil in right away although the container only has 15 fl oz and that’s what the generator needs. I probably put in 12oz then tested the level and in the end used about 14 oz. I did pull the start rope a little thinking it may help disperse the oil inside but I don’t know that to be true on this motor. I’ll test the level after the gen cools from its test run to see if I can fit the rest of the oil in. The spark plug tool doesn’t seem to fit well, I was going to check the gap but couldn’t get it out with that tool. The screw driver is duel ended, flat and phillips. It started with no issue. It’s louder than expected and vibrates. The video is my attempt to show the vibration and volume but I know those don’t come across well on a phone camera. If you can zoom in or look at the rope handle you can see the vibration better. I downloaded a decibel app and standing above it with phone at normal use height on the exhaust end it read 86db. Each 5 additional feet I moved away it read 2 db less. 5 feet was 84db and so on. I only tested household items I do not have the rv near by to test the air conditioner just yet. I’m giving it 5 stars because I haven’t found anything really wrong that warrants a bad review but if I do I’ll edit as needed. There is one thing, the plastic case isn’t snapping closed very well on the top, I added that photo too. I’ll take a look inside once it cools to see if something is broken or loose. ... show more

  • Power in a small package.
Style: Generator
I bought this generator almost exactly a year ago. Haven't needed it till tonite. Have Stabil in the gas. Started it 3 times the past year. Tonight the power went out thanks to Helen so no telling how long it will be. It started on the 2nd pull. It's powering my fridge and a portable upright AC which hopefully will help some tomorrow when it gets hot out. The unit is quiet as generators go. I'll update at a later time after it's been in use awhile. ... show more

  • Good value but not the quietest
Style: Generator
I bought this to power my camper at my sons kart races. At it's current price it's a great value. After a 10hr break in, we ran it onsite for around 36hrs straight, running a 13500btu AC with a soft start. It had no issues with the load and even handled the microwave with the AC once. I was concerned about the noise as it's not very quiet, especially when running AC. It's less noisy than an open frame generator but twice as loud as the Predator 3500 or Honda eu2000 the trailers next to me were using. I also had to refill the fuel frequently, it probably would only go 5-6 hrs running the AC intermittently overnight, and 4 max during the day. Overall I'm super happy with it for what it cost. It's amazing how capable it is for the size. Update: Now in my second summer hauling this gen around to run my camper's AC in the brutal summer heat. Hit 210 hours last weekend with not a single issue. We run it typically 48 to 72 hrs straight on pump gas. Fuel tank size is annoying but other that, no complaints. Just don't over fill the fuel tank, change the oil frequently and store it with ethanol free gas. ... show more

  • Nice small portable generator...
Style: Generator
This is my second Pulsar generator, the first one was stolen when my toy hauler was taken. It was a great generator with remote start and super-quite. So far, I have not had the opportunity to use this one on a camping trip. It did arrive on time and was packed well. I put the bottle of oil that came with the unit in the engine and added a gallon of gas. It started on the 2nd pull and ran like I expected it too. It seems to be a bit louder than I was expecting, but not annoying loud. It is light enough to be carried by the handle, but not more than 50 feet or so. I'll update this review after my next camping trip if something is different. ... show more

  • Not recommend
Style: Generator
Bent a pushrod in under 100 hours of run time. Poor value. Made great power when I ran and started easy. Light weight. Absolutely not recommend.

  • Been about a year since I purchased - Used multiple times.
Style: Generator
I waited on a review; everything is great when new. I have probably have 18 hrs. of run time on it. I run it for about 2 hrs at a time with a light load from 750 to 1,800 watts. It's nice they ship it with oil in a small bottle. no guessing on the amount needed. It starts on one to three pulls and runs smooth. It's not loud when running. It's been a good preforming unit so far. Compared to a Honda 2000 its not any louder (by ear) but can make more power. Honda makes a great product, I couldn't justify the cost. I bought this unit and am happy with it. ... show more

  • Good Value , Especially On Sale
Style: Generator
This isn't the best generator, it does have some vibration and isn't all that quiet, however it has started first pull every time. After a solid six months of ownership I trust it, its built good enough, and while the list price is a bit steep in my opinion, its worth considering when it goes on sale. ... show more

  • It’s good/ok for the money!!
Style: Generator
I bought this generator to replace my Honda 2200 that I didn’t feel had quite enough power to run 2000 W worth of lights on the front of my Long Beach aluminum flounder/bow fishing boat. This generator claims to be 3500 W continuous with 4000 watch Max for the money, I would have to say yes it’s pretty good, but it is loud also it drinks quite a bit more fuel compared to the Honda 2200. With the runtime of maybe four hours under a 2000 W continuous load. For the money this thing is good value the new Honda 3500 W generator that is on the market now costs approximately $3300 so I decided to give this one to try. Four fishing trips in so far and I would say it’s worth the money. I’ll see how much longer it last and will update good or bad in the near future. Currently using to power. (12)160w 120v outrigger led flounder lights. ... show more
