  • Good- not outstanding
Style: Headset
I provide medical interpretation over the phone and the sound quality is good, so that I can hear very well even though some of the providers or most of them are wearing a mask so in that sense is really good, what I don’t like very much is the mic feels very flimsy. it is kind of too away from my face but so far I didn’t hear any complaints from any doctor so looks like they hear me very well. Good value for the money. ... show more

  • Noise Cancellation Could Be Better
Style: Headset
I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking A LOT! I purchased this headset specifically because my ancient headset was refusing to work anymore. When I plugged this headset in, I expected it to solve all my problems. However, this was not the case. Dragon would lag in its dictation and refuse to shut down when I commanded it to. I kept using the task master to shut it down manually and then restart it and that was not fixing the problem. I kept running the audio wizard and that did not fix the problem, either. Eventually, I uninstalled the program and then reinstalled it. I am not sure if that helped, either. I combed Google for an answer, and eventually I found a suggestion that I open the "Options" selection under the "Tools" menu, go to Miscellaneous, and then set the slider all the way to the left in the Speed versus Accuracy department. That seemed to do the trick. It is hot in my apartment now and I am sitting with the air conditioner and a fan running. I turned them both off and practiced some dictation, and things seem to be working. Then, I tried the fan which is located fairly close to me and Dragon slowed way down again. I turned off the fan and then turned on the air conditioner, and the noise cancellation property of this microphone finally kicked in. Apparently, the noise cancellation works if the noise is fairly far away but not if it is right in your face. This is okay, I can live with this, but I docked my review of star because for the price I paid I expected super noise cancellation. On the other hand, this headset is very comfortable and works fairly nicely. It is plug-and-play, all I had to do was plug it in and get started. There is one more con: the cord is fairly flimsy. For the price I paid I would've expected a braided cord, or at least a heavy cord that will last through the years. Nevertheless, I needed a headset microphone and now I have one. ... show more

  • Bought for work, great with one gripe
Style: Headset
The microphone is on the left. End of story. Can't switch and have it fit comfortably with the mic on the other side. Oh well.
