This part of the review is written by my cat: I love dad's endoscope because it allows him to find my toys when I put them under the refrigerator or his coffee bar. The lighted end is pretty good at illuminating dark places and sometimes it is a fun toy itself! The camera's image quality is decent for the price dad paid in his silly human money. The semi-rigid wire makes it easy for the endoscope to reach the back of the fridge where I sometimes hide my toys after giving them a really good swat! Thanks kitty. This is her dad typing now. The smartphone app for this is a little janky but workable for what needs to be done (view video from the endoscope). The interchangeable tips for the scope are a nice touch but I have not had to use them yet. I think the magnet end would be most useful for something that's actually magnetic... the hook end is a very small hook and precise control of the endoscope starts to become difficult the longer you're reaching. The semi-rigid cable does make it easier to reach far underneath something without much deviation. The light is a nice touch and fairly bright considering you're probably scoping into dark, confined places. ... show more

I purchased this Kinpthy endoscope camera primarily to inspect the underbody of my car, but I quickly realized that it has hundreds of uses beyond that! The setup was seamless—simply download the app from the App Store and plug in the endoscope to any Android or Apple device, and you're ready to go. It started working instantly without any issues. The device is extremely user-friendly. I appreciated the versatility of the connectors that come with it (Micro USB, Apple Lightning, and USB-C). This made it easy to switch between my iPhone and other devices without needing additional adapters. One of the standout features is the adjustable LED lights on the camera tip. These dimmable lights allowed for clear visibility, even in dark or hard-to-reach areas, which was especially useful when inspecting behind my washer and dryer, as well as checking my plumbing for potential leaks. The camera cable itself is semi-rigid but flexible, making it sturdy enough to maneuver into tight spaces without any trouble. The image quality is good, both for photos and videos, providing a clear view of everything I needed to see. For the price, this endoscope exceeded my expectations. This is a good product overall, but there are some things to note. First everything works and I had zero problems with that app and syncing. I plug it into my phone and the app starts up. You can take pictures and videos. The app also has a camera flip feature which can come in very handy when you are trying to get your barring's. The light is reasonably bright but remember the brightness is adjustable because its initial setting is pretty dim. The biggest con I have is the lens on the cameras has a very narrow field of view. So, if you stick it in a wall and you want to look around its pretty useless there. but if you stick it in in a drain to identify a clog or in another narrow space it works well. Personally, I wanted something I could use to look in walls and crawl spaces so it doesn't help me but if I ever need to Identify a clog or something in a verry narrow space I will get this out and it will save the day. We ordered this to check on mice activity in our upper attic between the rafters. It was very easy to use as it connects directly to your phone. Because it is so small, only needed to drill a small hole through the wood to get the cord through, which was also a benefit!
