I have been seeing ads on line for this type of sleeping bags. I want to be prepared for the upcoming winter weather. These are a great size and lightweight yet provide necessary warmth and waterproof protection in the event of a weather emergency. I purchased these bags to include in my survival kit and to use after creating a shelter for the Scouts BSA Wilderness Survival merit badge. They work very well to trap body heat, which as expected, unfortunately causes condensation in the bag. The bag left a silver sheen on my daughter's skin after an overnight, but it easily washed off in the shower. The generous size is great for adults and folding under the excess length retains the heat better for kids. The orange color is great for survival & rescue but not so good for stealth camping, so I'll be purchasing some of these bags (or likely blankets) in a camo pattern. ... show more

I used this as a liner in my sleeping bag, when I slept in my car, at 7 deg F - as a gear test for an upcoming trip on the AlCan highway. I did wake up with cold in the middle of the night and had to re-warm the water bottle, but this liner made a significant and noticeable difference. I know because as I was getting back in, and the liner had condensation on the inside, and I tore a hole through it with my toe as it got hung up on the side. I could feel a cold spot after that. I guess the lesson is - be mindful of the condensation on the inside and have several of these with you if going on a long trip in a remote area. ... show more

I was surprised at the size of these. You can hold it in the palm of your hand. I bought it to go hiking and it will fit nicely in the backpack. Hopefully I will never have to use it, bit it’s nice to know it’s there.

I ordered a 2 pack, one was clearly sliced through the outer bag, the carrying bag and several layers of the sleeping bag itself. The shipping package was undamaged so I'm sure this happened before being shipped. The other one is fine and seems to be a good product, as described. Not returning because it's not worth the trouble to me. Going to attempt to patch it, I was going to order additional ones anyway so this will be a good way to learn how to patch them. ... show more
