  • Perfect no fuss telescope
Color: Blue
If you are looking for an easy first time telescope then this is a great little telescope. Some Pros: 1 no collimation needed on this type of telecope. This is a big bonus as its pretty much ready to use right out of the box and you don't need to know much about telescopes to start. 2 lightweight and suprisingly stable tripod construction 3. You can see most of the plnets and some moons pretty easily even with loads of light pollution nearby. Took maybe 10 minutes ro find both Jupiter and its moons and Saturn+rings. Cons: Tripod can be flimsy when fully extended but you probably want a chair for stargazing anyway. You wont see many details of most planets with this telescope. Its probably about 3 times more clear and stable than binoculars but you wont see Jupiter's red spot or other planetary features. Results. Way better than naked eye or binoculars good entry telescope or for kids. ... show more

  • Great price, great telescope!
Color: Blue
I got this for my great nephew as a gift. I read the reviews and it looked good so for the price I thought it would be good enough to see stars. My niece, his mom, said it is amazing. They were able to see craters on the moon!? I thought that was amazing because it was fairly inexpensive. It was also, easy to set up. ... show more

  • Cool scope
Color: Blue
Good scope. Only problem is you can't really look at the sun, only moon.

  • If you want to see the Moon...
Color: Blue
If you just want to see the moon, then this is your telescope. If you are interested in constellations, other planets, ANYTHING not the Moon... this isn't for you. We had high hopes for this telescope considering all the great reviews, let's consider the pros: Seems inexpensive off the bat (see cons item 1) Nice travel case Compact, easy to put together Tripod is great for children, or for use on tables Came with a cool solar system map, and a map of the moon. And the cons: $95 (including tax) to look at the moon with a bit more detail than your plain old eyes... yeah... that's a steep price to pay when I can just go outside and look up. Took some time to align the finderscope... not an easy task Tripod not well suited for adults, unless using on a table (but this is for beginners/children, so no big deal) Only view the Moon, and not a great view at that. I'm returning this telescope because for $95 I would expect to at least see something a little beyond the Moon. What fun is knowing Jupiter is staring you in the face, and not being able to sneak a peak. We get a better view of the Moon with our binoculars. So save your $$. ... show more

  • Very poor quality, not for anyone
Color: Blue
Do not buy this, first off we was Shipped the wrong telescope, it was Ecoopro. Then I realized it was wrong after trying to go out side at night and find one single star in the sky, did not see anything just pitch black. We gotten the replacement worked out the moving errors, that another person had said but still couldn't see the moon very good, I got a little glimpse of it still to far away to see any craters or anything like that, we used it in the day light could see the trees and birds very good but it's still hard to actually catch em, it was a big fuss my son said so we both decided to return the Christmas gift we actually had waited for until after Christmas, waste of cash. But luckily amazon allows us to return product, gimme my money back. And crazy to say other people are selling this for hundreds of dollars. Man I better read next time. ... show more

  • Much Better than expected
Color: Blue
This Telescope was far better than expected, not only in quality, but a real teaching aid. Well packaged and each part secured in an additional plastic bag. It came with a huge chart of the Planets and the moon. Its instruction book also gave amazing information on the Physics and Mathematics of optics and how to use them. Great for Astronomy and daylight viewing. All of the objectives had caps, and also the front lense. The tripod was very stable. I especially liked the section on the care of the scope and its components, as well as warnings as to what you should never do. A terrific teaching aid all around, and a perfect price. ... show more
