Surprisingly heavy gauge steel material. I mounted it to my Craftsman lawn tractor in about one hour. Works as discribed, see pic. I discarded the 1/4” hardware that came with it and replaced them with larger 5/16”. The holes in the hitch were already large enough to accept the larger screws. Instructions were vague and black and white picture was difficult to see detail. Only three parts so it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. I did have to drill 2 holes as it didn't fit in the holes on the mower, so after that it was easy to install, it is very solid and works great on my Husqvarna tractor and I can tow my utility trailer with ease.

Good quality. Will do the job well. However, if I were to do it again, this is what I would look for: 1). It was not easy to install. The support arms were almost to wide for my Craftsman mower. And where they did hit the mower was right on a seam so I had to drill on a seam. 2). The new ball position is an inch or two to tall for my liking. Amazon sells other models that are shorter and the support arms are not as wide. This adapter has a smaller ball shaft diameter. This first type I ordered was similar but had to be returned due to a larger ball shaft diameter. ... show more

I bought this adapter for my Husqvarna 23 horse power lawn tractor to haul or move a 5x10 trailer around the yard, I move mulch, pine straw, sand, and garbage, and the tractor has a very small foot print and easy to get into tight places. I was going to make an adapter but saw this one and it works perfect. It tool me 20 minutes to install it and only because I had to drill 2 holes in the back of the tractor to install 2 brackets. Also the tail piece is great because I can still pull my small cart without removing the adapter. This adapter came with all the mounting hardware and was easy to install. ... show more

Well made, makes lawn tractor handy for moving small trailers. I can use on of my smaller road trailers which will hold more and not overload mower. Hitch will work for larger trailer but mower will be overmatched.

Although well built, this hitch mount will not directly fit a Craftsman GT3000 Garden Tractor (circa 2000). The rear of the GT 3000 slopes at a steeper angle than other Craftsman tractors, making both pairs of the provided braces too short to use. Fortunately, I was able to combine the two sets of braces to get them to reach the back of the tractor. ... show more

    • Trailer hitch for mowers, great !
The only thing I don't like about the hitch is. It sticks out the back to far when you don't have anything hooked to it. I will be working on that.
