This little hand blender is terrific. If you need to blend sauces, dips, salad dressings, soups or gravies this works good. Very light weight which I loved because I had control. I just blended a good amount of sauted onions, 4 cloves of garlic and 2 large cans of whole tomatoes. Nice pureed sauce then added the meat back in after blending. It didn't start off too fast and splash. Easy to clean. The button is one speed and easy to press and reach with one hand. It's light plastic not a tough tool but I like the plastic because it won't scratch my nonstick pots; the blade is metal surrounded by plastic. If you need to chop nuts or blend ice this is not the blender for that. But a handy tool in the kitchen with many uses. ... show more

After I ran it for 2 or 3 minutes, black powder began to come out from the motor and accumulate inside the attachment that holds the blade. Feels like something is grinding on the inside of the motor to cause it. (probably the carbon contacts) But the motor is powerful. Still works. I just need to be careful to get rid of the debris that comes out of the motor. ... show more

0 stars isn’t an option but it’s what this deserves. We’ve had another brand for over a year and it works amazing. This one is not powerful or ergonomic. Took 3-4 times longer for same tasks as our other one. Does not easily chop or mix. Was struggling to mix cottage cheese which is already a liquid form and doesn’t take much. It smells hot and like it’s burning after the first use. Find a better brand. This one isn’t worth your time. ... show more
