I wanted a tiny electric skillet for an apartment kitchen with very limited counter and storage space. This skillet cooked eggs and bacon perfectly (although I found it useful to turn the heat up higher than suggested in the directions). Not a lot of pieces to keep track of, easy to clean, and I really appreciate the fact that the handles and temperature dial stay cool to the touch. Seems to be well-made but I can't really comment on that as I've only had the unit for a day - but I'd bet it holds up.
