I’ve been 3D printing for several years now and have tested a wide variety of filaments, both good and bad. The Elegoo 4-pack of PLA filament (White, Gray, Black, and Clear) is easily one of the best I’ve used. First off, the packaging is excellent. Each spool comes vacuum-sealed with silica gel packets to keep the filament dry during shipping. I’ve been using this filament with my Flashforge Adventurer 5M, and the results have been outstanding. The filament feeds smoothly, with no tangling or snags, and adheres perfectly to the PEI build plate. The dimensional accuracy is spot-on, which is great for me since I mainly use it for functional prints. I'd also like to note that I’ve experienced zero clogs or jams during printing. I have never had issues will Elegoo filament that werent caused by my own oversight. The filament prints flawlessly and the color always turnout vibrant. It feeds and retracts perfectly through the Creality CFS and prints without issue using the standard generic PLA profile on the K-2 Plus.     • Good Filament overall, Just wanted to update my earlier review and clear this up!

Update 10/04/2024: BACK AFTER 1 DAY SHY OF A YEAR! So it turns out the filament wasn't the issue, but was a hot end fan and a power supply fan that were causing the issue. Apparently they were both dying and not cooling the heat sync and/ or power supply adequately. Those were causing intermittant issues with almost all filaments other than one brand that starts with and O. This filament is printing really well currently, and havent had an issue with since doing a major overhaul of my entire hotend assembly and replacing the powersupply fan. 5 Stars for Quality of the filament 5 Stars for quality of the prints with the filament 5 Stars for Elegoo Customer Service (Though they should get 10!) 5 Stars for Elegoo all around from me! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 10/05/23: If I could rate customer service at Elegoo, I would give it 5 stars! Very responsive, and willing to try to get issues taken care of in a timely manner. However, I am settling on a 2 star review of Elegoo's PLA and PLA+. I was sent 2 rolls of their PLA+ to replace the PLA rolls that I purchased, and spent the better part of 2 evenings experiencing the same issues that I originally had with their regular PLA (Under extrusion, clogging, etc.). I even went back and used my filament drier on both of the previously purchased rolls of PLA for 60 hours each, and still am unable to print with them. I love Elegoo, and will always recommend their resin/resin printers, but I can not recommend their filament at this time. I'm going to try to dry out the PLA+ rolls for 80 hours each and see if that makes a difference. Update 09/25/23: Adding 2 stars to my original review. Elegoo customer service was super quick and friendly with a response and reached out to me to offer an option to replace or refund my purchase. I chose to have them replace the rolls, and they stated that they would be sending out their PLA+. Will update review again once I get a chance to test out the new rolls! I bought 2 spools of the black, and printed just fine through half of the first one. Then I started having issues with adhesion, under extrusion, and clogs in my hot end. I was printing at 205C, and leved the bed between each failed print just to rule those 2 factors out. I even tried to increase the temp, but still had print failure after print failure. So I thought maybe the filament had taken on some moisture. I opened the second roll, and the SAME issues developed.     • Cheap filament not worth the price multiple failed prints

I opened the sealed white filament today to do some 3d printing, it comes in a 4 KG pack black white red and blue. I attempted 5 prints and only one came out alright, not perfect but acceptable. Looking at the roll of filament right out of the box I was not impressed the way it was rolled on the spool it looked like a tangled mess so I kept a close watch over the printing process. The other 4, I had issues with stringing and poor bed adhesion so I had to stop the prints all 4 were failures. I’ve been printing with Creality’s pla and have not had any issues whatsoever. I adjusted the nozzle temperature from 200 to 195 and minimized the stringing but was still present. As far as the bed adhesion goes I clean the bed with isopropyl alcohol after every print to keep it as clean as possible, as I said earlier I’ve had no issues with Creality’s filament. Pretty disappointing to say the least, don’t think I could recommend this product to anyone with a clear conscious, I think it’s that bad. Reading the other reviews I see that others have had similar issues with this brand of filament, wish I would have read them before purchasing could have saved myself the headaches. Edit I had sent this filament back to Amazon and was contacted by Elegoo. Their customer service is exceptional they inquired what issues I had. They informed me they would like to send me replacement filament to try again. It arrived in a few days and being that I had other things going on was unable to test it out. The replacement filament is superior to the first batch I ordered. It prints without issue adheres to the bed as intended it isn’t oozing from the nozzle like the first set I received. The only issue I noticed was that there was some minimal stinging but did not affect the end product of the print. I can’t praise Elegoo enough for standing behind their product and for having such great customer service and striving for customer satisfaction. I would not hesitate to purchase purchasing their product again knowing what kind of customer service they provide. ... show more
