The media could not be loaded. Starting to get cool outside, and I needed an electric heater for the back porch. Found one that looked perfect for where I was going to put it, good heat options and looked safe. Out of the box, this one is very well made, just as nice as those that I see at the extravagant outdoor clubs. The tubes heat up fast, real fast and the heat just radiates to where it feels so good, even at a greater distances of 20 feet or more where it does a great job at keeping the heat going. There are three settings by watts, 500, 1000, and 1500. Glad of this where I know now, that I will not need the full 1500 here all the time, just when it gets bitter cold. Hard to show in pics, therefore, I put a video together showing the heat lamps here when hitting the buttons, very impressive. For each press of the button, its instant heat, no waiting, just heat and it spreads it out real well. I opted to mount it on my concrete ledge, where heat rises and just an optimum place for it. It also comes with a good thick solid steel bracket to mount about anywhere and a tension bolt to align it perfectly and keep it exactly where it won't move, even in extreme conditions. I currently have a floor model, fan based heater that works pretty well, however, I wanted something that I could mount on a wall so that it did not take up space on the patio. Based on the claims that this unit would heat up a 15 sq. ft. space, I thought it would be perfect for the small patio that it was purchased for. In actuality, I only intend for it to heat up the space where the patio chairs are located which is much smaller than 15 sq. ft. You'll notice that in the included photos, the heater is placed only a few feet away from the chairs, however, even sitting directly under it, not much heat is felt. The current temperature during the time the photos were taken ranged between 62-66 degrees, so it wasn't terribly cold, and yet, this heater was still unable to provide sufficient heat. If you place your hand about a foot in front of it you will feel adequate heat, however, any further distance it begins to decrease in heat drastically as the heat does not travel well. My assumption is, without a fan to propel the heat this design simply will not work for an actual patio. ... show more

The heat output was not what I expected for the area it should have heated. It was easy to assemble. The remote control has a short range of control. Have to keep the remote very close to it and even raise it up closer to the unit for the power to come on or operate by remote.

I'm really impressed by how fast the heater heats up. It literally started feeling warm within a few seconds. It was really easy to use - just plugged it in and chose one of the three temperature settings on the remote. I'm slowly trying to get ready for winter and am really excited to be able to spend more time on the balcony now even on chilly days. Great value for the price! ... show more

Install was very easy. Remote control is very flimsy and does not always work unless you’re very close to the heater. The heater is well made but the remote control needs improvement.

The heater is extremely bright. It has a neon red glow to it which makes it pretty much unusable, especially at night. It’s so bright that it is uncomfortable to look at or even to be in the same room with. Heat output is not great either.
