I’ve gotten like a hundred ads for this on social media, so I watched a few different reviews for it on youtube and decided to give it a try. Generally speaking, it was easy to get setup and going. The ability to dry out the compost in a cycle is a bonus if you put a lot of fruits and vegetables in there. My first day I had some leftovers in the fridge and dumped them in and sure enough it took about a day before it was compost. The compost did get clumpy on the second day, due to a lot of fruit and vegetable waste, but after a day on dry it seems to have sorted itself out. There was a large mix of stuff that was put in there and surprisingly no noticeable odor or attraction of bugs to it. So overall it is on the pricey side, but in the short time I’ve had it I don’t really have any complaints. ... show more

I was so excited to finally save up enough to get this composter. We followed all the directions, and shortly after the 30 day return window had ended we noticed that the smell was getting pretty bad. Every time the lid was opened the smell wafted out and lingered in the kitchen. I checked all the directions, and all the blogs I could find to figure out how to decrease the odor. We tried every suggestion and every setting and bought bread even though we don’t eat bread just to feed the composter to see if it would help. Nothing helped and it began to get unbearable even when left closed. It’s now been relocated to an attached woodshed but it’s pretty unbearable in there now too. Hopefully it will get well below freezing out there this winter, the composter will freeze and I’ll have to throw away this very expensive source of an incredibly bad smell ... show more

I finally won my wife over, she was skepticle. It was easy to set up and start using. I have already used compost in the garden, mixing it with soil as instructed. The only things that prevented me from giving it 5 stars was the inner seal came loose and I had to press it back in place or the door wouldn't shut completely. It seems to be not attached properly. Then the foot sensor to open the door doesn't seem to be working and I have to press the button on top to open it. Otherwise it works fine. ... show more

Very quiet & absolutely no bad smells! I’ve had this for over a month now & I’ve made about 6+ gallons of the best dirt/compost. I’ve put a TON of everything from dinner scraps, 5lb bag of uncooked rice (that my cat tore open), bags of uneaten oranges, apples, & potatoes, you name it. I have tried to cut things up as small as possible without taking up too much of my time. The only thing I have avoided putting in there is greasy sausage or bones. I do add coffee to help keep any smells from starting. Oh yeah, no more nasty garbage smells from this food rotting away in the kitchen garbage can waiting to be taken out. So win win! Lastly, I plan to store it in brown paper bags as the plastic will hold moisture & make it mold. ... show more
