Shipping box seemed like it was not made for use with the item. Upon opening I found all sorts of green tabs broken off of each piece. Really upset at first until it appeared that none of these tabs were really required to snap into anything for assembly. One tab from the lid was broken and is required to keep the lid in place on one side. Overall the bin is not manufactured to a specification that allows the lid to really stay attached other than the use of good old gravity. This is not the item for you if you need to keep animals from opening the lid. I am very dissatisfied not only with how the item is packaged resulting in lots of broken pieces but also the overall quality and tolerances used to create the item. If I were you, you should risk your multi hundred dollar purchase on a different manufacturer. ... show more

This holds heat really well but none of the fastener clips for the lid extend out so they do any good. The hinge points don't keep the top on nor do the latches keep it closed. I have to place a heavy object to keep the lid from blowing off (which it did in 25 mph gusts).

WAIT! Before you buy this thing. Absolutely no directions, just ` 1st' grade level pitograms, and nothing written in English. A few parts were broke off when we opened it under the 10+ miles of packing tape. NO customer service number to call. When assembled, flimsy.

Very happy with this compost bin. So much so, we bought two, including the mesh screen for the bottom. We have a large yard and lots of cuttings to mulch. Looks nice too. Does not turn, of course, so we are moving the dirt in stages which is also why we bought two. Truly love it.

The directions use a: Connect panels to their corresponding numbers on other panels. But the numbers are very hard to read. The exit paneling is rather cumbersome so once you fill it up there it is a little difficult to get it out.
