    • Perfect weight!
I have been looking for dishes I wanted for years. Ok, these aren't super fancy or anything like that, but so beautiful! When I had to replace my first set of dishes, I had such a hard time then. Decided to get dishes from the local store, with the idea of being able to replace them as they broke. That was dumb! They broke easily, and the designs changed just enough to be weird. Part of the reason they broke do easily was because they were heavy and awkward, esp the bowls. I was a bit hesitant due to the shape of the bowls, but they aren't super heavy. Yet they do have weight, just a more manageable weight. I love the look of these dishes (the blue, beach style ones). They look like you can dress them up or down, and just low enough in detail to mix and match a bit. And they were packed so perfectly that I'm keeping the boxes (planning to move eventually). I am so excited about these; I quickly came to hate the last ones due to the heaviness. These are perfect :) ... show more

    • Beautiful but slightly flawed
I absolutely adore the color of the dinnerware and they all feel sturdy enough to last a long time, although I am terrified of dropping them! I didn't receive anything broken in the package, but a couple of bowls have minor chips on the bottom. I don't know if they're bad enough to need replacing but I still might call them and ask. What I am most unhappy about is the many air bubbles. I don't know if it's normal because I've never bought stoneware before, but it's only on the plates and mars an otherwise perfect set. I tried to take pictures but you can't see it in the photos. Some look like pockmark dents, others are raised bumps. It bothers me but I'll just have to try and live with it. ... show more

This is our second purchase from this vendor and we've been happy both times. These dishes are great combinatioqn of sturdiness and value. We are not particularly careful with our dinnerware and the last set survived everything except being dropped from a height to a tile floor. This pattern is considerably more attractive in the real world than it is in the pictures. The embossing is very subtle. Mugs are sturdy and have enough room to grab with three fingers.
