Edit: it's Jan 23rd in 2022, and this one is still going strong ! Just wanted update you all on its durability :) But then I don't do anything exotic on this yoga mat lol been just doing lots of dancing and HIIT workout 5-6 times a week since I got this !! I have been only using regular sized yoga mats and always wanted something bigger. As this is my first time using an extra sized mat, I didn’t really have much expectations. I just hoped it didn't feel cheap and not too heavy. While it came in such a humongous box (like mattress sized one, a bit of shocker at first), it was surprisingly light (thank god!) Inside that huge box, there was another light ,slim long box (what a relief that was haha). Now, one thing it truly stand out is that it wasn’t too heavy despite its extra large size, which makes it easy to carry around with a carrying strap provided ( which is quite a good quality strap too). While the weight was light, the material felt very sturdy with a quite dense material. Of course I will have to wait and see for its durability, but I think this will last quite long in light of my experiences with various yoga mat materials. It wasn’t hard to roll out flat out of the box either and didn’t have any unpleasant smells you sometimes get from new yoga mat either. ( I think there was light pleasant fragrance to be honest, which is gone now). I think this mat absorbs impact pretty well (especially if you wear shoes of course), and protects the floor without slipping, but this isn’t that cushiony yoga mat if that’s what you are looking for. I always put 2 layers of yoga mat (dense, not slippery one at the bottom and cushiony soft one on the top), so for me this works perfectly to do a HIIT workout with only yoga socks or even barefoot at home. I only worked out twice on it but so far so good. And for a given price (especially for the extra size), I think it’s quite a cost effective yoga mat in terms of price vs quality. I would highly recommend this but keep it mind, this one is the very first large sized yoga mat I have owned. ... show more
