Bought these after someone I knew recommended them. We were in Naples and Rome where it was unbelievably hot. These little towels are amazing! They really do cool you down. We wet them at a fountain, snap them, then put them around our necks. Can’t imagine not having them!

Is it better than a wet towel? Debatable. Do I like it enough to keep it and use it frequently? Yes. Soft material that has a nice pattern. The underside of mine is pink. I didn’t realize that upon purchase. I like it. Others may not. It’s a little small. But lightweight. Trade off. Stays somewhat cool for a long enough of a time to be useful. Dry climate friendly. Or rather, this thing is pretty much only made for places where it can evaporate easily. I was disappointed at how fast it drys out; not two hours of full cool. I’ll get a wet bag for it when on the go. It should have come with one. ... show more

I was skeptical I admit, but figured it was a low enough price to take a chance but I'm happy to report these things work as described. I bought mine in advance of a three-day outdoor music festival (late July, always very hot and in direct sun), hoping it would offer a means of cooling off a bit. Sure enough it definitely did the job, and furthermore was an excellent way of protecting the back of my neck from the sun rays. There was plenty of fresh water at the festival to renew the cloth when needed, but it lasted for quite awhile even so. If it started getting warm a quick opening up and airing out usually cooled it off again and it was ready to go. I can imagine if it were soaked in ice water it would be amazing, though I didn't test it. Easy to clean and rinse out, once it's completely dry it makes for a good cloth to absorb sweat after a workout too. Now it SHOULD be obvious, but it only works for the areas of the body it's in contact with. It also should be used so as to KEEP you cool, right? If you're body is already really overheated, or in danger of heat exhaustion, this isn't going to solve that, so be smart about it. ... show more
