We bought this to use in our gazebo/poolside shed (which is set back quite a way from our home), so that we don't need walk all the way back to the house and track water inside just to use the loo. This model was the closest to the height of our "real" house toilets, and so it is the easiest for me and my old joints to get on and off from. The other models we tried were shorter. I am a heavier woman, and I feel very secure on this seat - it doesn't feel wobbly or like I might break it, and the seat size is just fine. "flushing" is very easy. I found that it works best for me if I open the bottom before I spray the water, as it reduces the splash. Because the toilet is in an enclosed small shed, it can get pretty warm. I have found that adding an RV toilet deodorizer works wonders on reducing the smell. Emptying the toilet is a breeze - just unhook the top and bottom, spin the tube and dump it down the drain (I bring it inside and drain it in the toilet). We only use this toilet for #1, and have a sign instructing guests to put their TP in the adjacent garbage can. This makes clean-up a breeze. After I drain it, I spray it down good with the garden hose. Every few times I will do a deeper clean of it. This method works for us, and we are so happy to have this toilet! ... show more

I bought this to take my 90yo mother camping with us last weekend. She has a bedside commode that is portable. I used that minus the bucket and placed it over this toilet so that she has the sturdy frame and side handles to help herself up. It worked perfectly. I did have to move it and close the lid and flush it for her. One night, I moved it into the pop up trailer and that’s when I noticed how well it kept the odor trapped. When we left camp, I took the bottom black water to the campground bathrooms and emptied it there. I poured some water in it for a rinse and emptied again. Since I used a tablet to break up the waste and smell it was all liquids and didn’t smell nasty. It was so easy to clean out! When I got home I gave it another rinsing in the black water tank and the bowl with a little pinesol and water then let it dry. Easy peasy. It is light and very portable and sturdy. This toilet is amazing. The seal on it works incredibly. Once the seal is closed, you can't smell anything from the toilet. The only issue to us is that we wish the pressure release button had a better location. It's kind of under the top Seat area and if you don't press it, pressure comes up as soon as you open to seal to flush. That being said, the flushing function is incredible. It really has a good amount of pressure to the water to wash things down. We are both plus size people and this toilet is very sturdy and very comfortable to sit on. We live van life so a good toilet is very important to us as it's our main toilet function, always. We really recommend this toilet. UPDATE: Now that we are in the warmer/hot months, the amazing seal that the toilet has CAN BE A DISADVANTAGE. This is really important to note. We have to make sure that we empty the toilet when it hits half way, NO MORE. On the really hot days, so much pressure gets built up that the toilet will actually rock in place. We have to leave the seal open somewhat to avoid it. If you let the toilet get over halfway full with really hot weather and no ventilation, it WILL OVERFLOW out if the toilet and into your floors. So be extra mindful of that if you're in a hotter climate. ... show more
