I use this mat for my post workout stretching. It's definitely comfortable to lay on and takes of the pressure spots the floor might cause. However, as other have stated, the material is soft and not the strongest. I don't see this lasting if you used the mats for actual workouts or activities that required shoes. I take my shoes off when doing my stretching. I don't see the mat lasting very long if you wore shoes on it constantly. ... show more

    • Fits my needs, worried about durability

It's a mat that works. It holds its footing and doesn't slide on tile and has enough padding to do most forms of intense pilates exercise. It's long enough for a 5'4" woman to have extra room on it even laying down horizontally with it. The coloration is nice and exciting and the strap works even if it's a bit loose and not the best at holding the mat no matter the position. What makes me rate it 3 stars is the quality of the foam. It mars quite easily and holds marks despite not being firmly pressed against something for a long time. I am sure they chose softness over durability which is a tricky balance but it feels a bit like the foam used for those kids puzzle mats. I guess that's something I might be known if I'd known more about this particular kind of foam, but even then it's frustrating to spend quite a lot on something that seems like it will get beat up quite easily. Only time will tell how long the mat will last with constant wear. (I do think it works well for my needs, I'm mostly concerned about durability for the price. I feel something like this should be about half the price, but that's probably because I'm used to finding more durable mats for the same price, although albeit they aren't quite as thick). ... show more

This mat is wonderful. It’s the perfect thickness to cushion my knees. It isn’t too thin where I feel pain but it isn’t too thick where I don’t feel stable/grounded to the earth. The length is wonderful. The width doesn’t allow for poses that involve having your shin(s) along the width (for instance, when one of your legs is in a kickstand position for a particular pose). That’s alright though, as this is the average width for a mat. My dog stepped on the mat briefly and it already has a puncture in it from his nails (which aren’t long or sharp, but he is 120 lbs so the pressure could have something to do with it), which is why I gave 4 stars for durability. Then again, the mat wasn’t designed for dogs, so I can’t take too much off for that. Overall wonderful mat and great material. ... show more
