It will incubate the eggs as intended. Does NOT include a hydrometer for humidity so be sure to buy one separately. Don’t bother with the external water reservoir, when we used it, it would just drain into the incubator & our humidity readings were north of 75%. It’s nice to have the hole on the side tho to add a squirt of water. We use a new unused medicine syringe from a kids Tylenol to squirt in a bit of water. It does hold the temperature pretty good although the temperature is off by a couple degrees. So as long as you buy a separate thermometer/hydrometer you’ll do just fine.     • Straight forward, works
I had 8 eggs in here and 7 hatched by the 20th day. Aside from making sure the water bottle was full and occasionally lifting it up so the water will drip down the tube, there was nothing else I had to do. The eggs automatically turned until I removed the turning tray on the 18th day. On the 19th day, I saw a baby chick chirping happily inside with its siblings following shortly after. The price of this unit was more affordable than the local feed store and for a first timer starting with just a few experimental eggs it was worth it. Some things I wished was that it’d be easier to slightly lift the tray to simply remove the chicks or eggs I need to without completely removing the air around it.     • Do not use this incubator for gooses eggs.
The goose eggs are to heavy for the machine to turn them. This means opening the top every four to five hours manually, which means the incubator environment is constantly being subject to cool air and a need to build up humidity. There is no humidity check. I purchased one and the humidity is below the standard recommendation. It is day 7 and none of the eggs are viable. The cost of the eggs and the feeling you get dropping dead eggs in the garbage are awful. Do not buy this. ... show more

I like this incubator a lot! However only hatched 6/9. 1 was almost hatched & died in shell. 2 were fully developed & didn’t ever pip. I’ll take full credit for that. I took out the chicks that hatched after 12 hours. The incubator does it’s job. Definitely the best birthday gift we got our 3 year old. Up next duck eggs. TL;DR; Low priced incubator with forced air and no humidity control. Bench review only will update based on experience if possible. Buttons feel a bit cheap. There’s only three, a heat setting and then the up and down buttons. Not sure how I feel about the humidifier, it’s basically an upside down water bottle thru a tube. Note it looks like there’s a specific water bottle but it did not come with it. Pros: egg turner is a roll style vice a tilt. That’s the better type. All the plastics are super easy to clean. Easy set up, have it going in minutes. It heats up fast, without eggs it was at temp in 5 minutes. Cons: it’s in Celsius - most hatching devices are in F, and it’s had for me to wrap my head around different set temps. Also this was a us purchase so I would assume F. Humidifier is essentially water, which is fine, however there’s no humidity monitor to indicate how you should adjust. Humidity is precise when hatching.. Instead of stopping rotation in the final days you remove the rotation tray; same effect, less fancy Force air which is better than still air They recommend using the foam packaging for temps under 20c… good idea - typically incubators recommend a house temp of 68-70 F deg at a minimum. ... show more
