I bought this vacuum primarily for vacuuming dead algae. It had a discount price for "Prime Days." I am completely satisfied. It is well thought-out and well designed, avoiding all of the annoying features of a previous hand-held vac that I used. It seems "built to last," the owner's manual is helpful, and it makes the job "almost enjoyable." I have a 16' x32' pool that a previous owner set in with no adequate filtration system. So it's a challenging environment for this vacuum which has proved that it's not a toy or "just for spas or kiddie pools" yet comes at a reasonable price. UPDATE: The battery life has always been much better than promised (two hours, not one) but after daily use during the warm weather the unit would sometimes fail to charge completely. Now, however, in the much colder weather I'm still swimming daily (in a wetsuit) & the unit is operating more strongly than ever. The suction is strong & the unit consistently takes a full charge. Water temp is in the low 50's. The cold has given the unit new life! Further update: to avoid the problem of having the battery not take a full charge, the manufacturer says to not fully deplete the battery when you use it. With all due respect, I don't think that's the problem since I've had the battery fail to take a full charge under both circumstances. The "fix" that works is to plug the unit in to recharge IMMEDIATELY after you shut it off. Don't leave it lying around somewhere for ANY length of time. I've been following this plan consistently now and have had zero battery issues. Battery charge is still good for 90 - 100 minutes in 43 degree water temp. ... show more

No regrets. This thing is sturdy and well made and works exactly as I hoped it would. Good suction and long run time. It is totally great! It’s perfect to get out the stuff that accumulates between our weekly pool guy service. It is kinda fun to use, too.

I wanted to provide an update! Working through Amazon to get connected with the manufacturer directly to try to resolve my issue - they were extremely prompt in getting back to me and are shipping me a new vacuum to replace the faulty one. I have updated my review to 4 stars based on the excellent customer service and dealing with the problem! If this new vacuum works as expected (which I won't know for several months since our above-ground pool is packed away for the season), I hope to update to 5 stars, because when the original one worked, it worked great - so I am hopeful! ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Bought to use in a new above ground pool in June, 2024. Used it 3 times on first charge. Plugged in for a new charge, and that was it totally dead! Of course that happened about 5 days after the 30 day return period… Biggest disappointment and waste of money, ever!! I wish I could give zero or minus stars!!! ... show more

This little vacuum exceeded my expectations. We had a bunch of storms to hit our area. Our 15ft round pool was filled with a lot of debris from surrounding trees. This vacuum cleaned up the bottom of the pool with ease. I'm thinking it might have more suction than our hose filter set up. Super easy to clean out the vacuums container. It sucks up both large and small debris with ease. Assembly and changing was super easy. The vacuum floats and does connect to leaf net pole. After cleaning up a lot of junk from the bottom of the pool and the steps of our ladder bridge, as well as behind the steps, still had the blue LED showing ample power reserve. Follow the instructions and do your first charge of the battery for ~7 hours. The post cleaning charge only took ~3 or 4 hours. When you first put the vacuum in the pool, insure you let all the air out, and then turn on the yellow power switch with the unit under water. The only minor issue I encountered was once I finished cleaning the pool and the vacuums container was loaded with debris, I was trying to connect our leaf pole to the vacuum, and in doing so kind of raise the suction end of the vacuum and some small debris leak out. The check value flap was not meant to operate properly in that orientation. My bad! Reason for buying this vacuum, our filter is of the cartridge type with pleats. As efficient as it cartridge filters are, they are very time consuming and a pain to clean. This vacuum captures all the debris and is super easy to use and clean. Saves me time, which I can now spend enjoying the pool. I highly recommend this little vacuum to anyone. ... show more

I've had this product now for about 4 months. It has worked incredibly well. The suction power is great, much better than my pool vacuum, and I can use it both for spot, cleaning or vacuuming. The entire bottom of the pool to pick up pebbles, sand dirt leaves, etc. About a week ago, my unit stopped charging and I reached out to customer service via email. Wow What a fast response, and quick resolution. They said my replacement will be here within 3 to 5 business days. ... show more
