This thing works. It starts up with ease, and it chews through many types of soft and hard woods. I'm using it to cleanup shrubs, pine branches and oak branches that have fallen on our property. It definitely chews through pines a lot easier but it still works great for the oak. A couple of times I wasn't able to pull the lever to start the chipper. After taking off one of the side panels I learned that a piece of wood was stuck between the blade and the drum....so I learned that when I am done chipping to make sure there is no left over debris in the chute that the drum could get stuck on. The blades: you'll know when the blades start to get dull when you have to start pushing the branches in rather than the chipper just ducking them in. I orderwd two sets of blades after my first week and a half of chipping. Replacing the blade is easy, two screws, lift the chute off and then two screws that hold the blade in. I didn't realize the blades have two sharp sides, so you can just flip it around to the other side to get more use out of the existing blades. I bought a knife sharpening kit on Amazon to try to sharpen the blades. Will report back if that's successful or not. Overall, I'm impressed at what the machine can handle (especially brush bushes and pines). 3 inches is about perfect as anything 3 inches thick I'm just chopping up for use in my wood stove. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The EFCUT R30 woodchipper exceeded my expectations. Two 15-foot Leland trees blown down in a windstorm. Left me with a pile of branches. The chipper handled the evergreen branches up to 1 inch to 3 inches in diameter without a problem. I highly recommend this chipper if you are definitely in need for a exceptional performance. ... show more

For the price, this was the right choice! It was needed to shred over 100 large size plants that had leaves, flowers, and stalks that were at least 3 inches or more in diameter into biomass. The machine got the job done!! It did take about 6 hours to complete, but we were satisfied! A larger one would have been faster, but this fit our budget. Works better than I thought it would. There are two designs as far as the mulching wheel is concerned. The one I purchased mulches the same as large professional machines, but only small. I would buy this again. Doesn’t clog and will tear through some pretty large stuff. I love it.
