This screen was a total waste of time. I went thru the trouble to completing 90% of the install to find out that the screen is not even physically correct for the iPhone XS. See pictures of the side tabs. The left screen with the longer tabs is this one and you will see they are too large to fit and the case cannot be closed. Two minutes before trying to close it, I realized another physical flaw which I tried to overlook. It is the top right screw portion for the speaker assembly is not in the right place. Look at their assembly image and you will see the top right screw they show about 1/2" in from the right edge, even though it is supposed to almost line up with the other right side screw. The screw chart for the cover plate is also incorrect with the Phillips screw shown at the bottom and not the middle left where it belongs. A person could damage their phone if they follow their screw placement diagram when reassembling. But that is not the only thing wrong with it. The screen is not even LED as advertised. It is 100% LCD and has a very low brightness backlight at that. I powered it up as the last step before trying to reseal the case shut just to make sure it all works. It turns on, and touch etc. seem to work. However the brightness is very low even at max brightness. Upon close inspection, you can clearly see that it is a backlit LCD display and not OLED as claimed. False info all around and a complete waste of time. I wish I could get the hours I wasted trying to install it back. ... show more

Photos attached of my full experience with this named display. Oem apple display finally quit on me, half the digitizer failed to register touch. I’m no novice, replaced hundreds of screens through the years, but the first screen came non functional. The first screen that arrived had artifacting, looked like window blinds. Usually screen Artifacting is due to an improperly connected screen. Reconnected half a dozen times but to no avail, same issue. Even cleaned the socket and connector with 99%ipa. Only when I connected the screen without powering off the device and disconnecting the battery connected did the screen function fully, no more window blinds. (Don’t do that, always power off and disconnect the battery. iPad just testing the faulty new display) power cycling reinitiated that window blind fault. Ended up ordering a replacement. The replacement was the same as the first. Programming True Tone worked just the same as the first. Finally have a functional device but that is without some comments. People say it’s as good as oem. I disagree. Here’s why. Blacks aren’t true, the camera notch and the display thickness is 3/4 of a mm larger than original screen. Tldr, screen isn’t oled but I would’ve known that if I read the description tho it wasn’t very clearly stated ig. Screen also sticks further out of the frame than oem. Something to note since cracks are more prone from dropping. Edit: replacement screen started glitching out intermittently the day after. Like static and flickering distorted pictures. Random. Ordered a 3rd screen and it’s worked fine for a few days now. Although it appears to be wildly less color accurate. More neon and orange. But that’s no problem as long as it functions. Also both screens 2 and 3, has diagonal lines when looking at a white image. No big deal either personally. Just looking for functionality ... show more

Size: XR (no tool)-6.1 Inch
This comes with everything needed for a total screen replacement. Tools, adhesive, screen protector and a nifty little flash reader and writer. The flash device plugs into your old screen, reads the numbers and info out of it, then re-flashes (applies) those numbers to the replacement screen allowing it to work with TrueTone and other features that are tied to the phones internal serial number. Without this, I would imagine the phone would not function properly after replacing the screen. For under $20 USD, its a heck of a deal. Its the best screen replacement I have seen in years; for the price. I used a hair dryer to loosen the screen adhesive, took about 5 minutes to soften it enough so the included suction cup could pull up a corner and the other tools were able to pry out the defective screen. Be careful when removing the light sensor from the old screen as this part is re-used. There is a small metal retainer clip that must be pulled to remove the top sensor array and earpiece assembly. Take extra care on this step. Don't forget to attach the included adhesive BEFORE you reconnect all the cables. If you forget this step, cut a slit in the right side and the middle out of the adhesive sheet to apply (this is the mistake I made). I didn't bother disconnecting the battery, only making sure the phone was off. ... show more
