I am very impressed with the ECX Ruckus and would not even consider buying an RC car from a big box store ever again. I was hesitant at first, as the ECX Ruckus is considerably faster than anything they are used to; however, apparently there are throttle controls on the remote to slow down the vehicle, preventing younger kids from crashing into obstacles at full throttle while they learned to control it. Even better, as they become more proficient at controlling it, I can turn up the speed and the ECX Ruckus will grow with them, which is a lot better than having to go out and buy another RC car to replace one that the kids feel like is too slow. Also, the ECX Ruckus is upgradable and repairable, so I can spend some quality time tinkering with my kids, who love the idea of changing out the tires, body shell, light bars, etc. The only disappointment I’ve had with the ECX Ruckus to-date is the stock battery and trickle charger. On average we get about 30 minutes of runtime out of the vehicle, as it is driven a little slower for my younger kids, before having to recharge and charging take about 9 hours or so using the stock setup. There are other battery and charger options to reduce this downtime, but they come at an added expense. ... show more

My sons are having a great time with these RC's. Quality is pretty good. The speed is adjustable via the controller, so you can dial the speed back for beginners which is nice. The included battery and charger can be upgraded. You get maybe 20minutes of drive time with the included battery and with the charger it is like 9 hours to charge. You can get batteries that fit that almost double the run time and chargers that will charge in less than an hour. No durability issues encountered so far but you can buy replacement parts very easily and even upgrade parts. ... show more

    • Breaks Very Easily
We bought this with high expectations based on some good reviews. The FIRST one we got stopped working within 10 minutes. It just stopped working. Mailed it back thinking we got a dud and ordered another one. Next one we got worked great the first day then on day two one thing after another kept breaking. First the front shock. I fixed it (kinda). Then the front axle. A part just fell off and was lost. Decided that was it and returned it. Fun little car when it worked but I'd look elsewhere. ... show more

Where can I find a wall charger for this I order 4 different ones and they don't fit any suggestions.

    • Major defect
Ended up returning the truck, the rear diff started stripping out and grinding after running just two packs through the truck. If you look this up the diffs stripping out is a known flaw with no know fix, aside from replacing them.
