  • Very hot heater.
Color: Black
WE thought we were buying a brooder heater, but this is a chicken coop heater. It gets pretty hot. May have cause a few baby chicks to die. But then we discovered that it is a heater. It gets up to 180f. on the side. And the baby chicks were huddled up against it then moved away and a few didn't move away soon enough. It was sold with brooders, we were looking up on Amazon for brooders and found this thinking it was a brooder. But we discovered it is a heater for coops and big chickens. ... show more

  • Perfect heater!
Color: Black
I bought this heater to keep outside cats warm. It worked perfectly! I was so grateful I found it before the arctic temperatures we had last week. The cats have insulated boxes on the carport. With setting this little heater in the area and enclosing, they stayed warm and comfortable. I’m so glad I purchased. Quick and easy to set up and put out a perfect amt of heat with no fan noise to scare them. ... show more

  • Surprisingly good customer service
Color: Black
I am adjusting my original review to reflect the excellent customer service that this company has offered. You can see my original review below. I need to add that they offered a full refund when they saw my negative review. And they offered it without asking me to adjust my review. I will be giving them another try after this positive experience. My ducks did like this heater much more than a heat lamp which produces significant light. I was really excited about this product, because it is said to be significantly safer than heat lamps. Also my bigger ducks appreciated the lack of light it creates. However*** it was used only occasionally this fall to keep our littlest 2 batches of ducklings warm on nights where the temperatures dropped significantly, and it died last night and I can’t get it to work at all today. Not worth purchasing if it only lasts 2 months! I’ve never had that trouble from my heat lamps. ... show more

  • Very nice and easy to install
Color: Black
I use this on the inside of our Prebuilt and it works great. Our chicks were old enough to go outside, but it was still a little chilly and I wanted to make sure they had some warmth for a while and the coop is not big enough red light due to fire fears. So far this has been fantastic with no issues. In the picture, the cord mounted on the door controls the on off for the heater. I then made a hole and ran it into the coop. ... show more

  • Quit working. Mfg warranty sucks
Color: Black
I used this for one month for my babies in the brooder, unplugged it until we ran electric to the big coop today (Nov 15, 2022). It doesn't work. Doesn't even get warm. Nothing. Two year warranty so I emailed the company for replacement/refund, and I will update when I hear something. Took awhile to figure out that it wasn't working since it NEVER heated up quickly or even glowed at the power indicator, and the switch is not marked except for a single straight line which means WHAT? UPDATE:. Cust service called me in one day, notified me are sending replacement. Five stars for cust service UPDATE: Spoke too soon, they wrote again, and told me that I had to go through Amazon since I bought it there. I called Amazon Customer service which made an exception since the return time frame had expired (2 year MFG warranty means nothing to Amazon). Amazon refunded the purchase price without requiring sending in the defective product. God help America, and protect Amazon ....! ... show more

  • Easy set up
Color: Black
We live in a really warm area, and my hens all molted right before we had a cold snap. Ordered this heater and it helped keep the flock warm without worrying me about a fire from a heat lamp. Great product.

  • Works
Color: Black
I have a standard chicken coop with 8 chickens. You can see the size of my coop in the photo attached. If it’s 30ish degrees out it will definitely heat the coop to 50-55. Once it gets down to below freezing temps it can’t get to the 50s. It got down to 15° and it heated the coop to 35 so I guess that’s not bad. Temps here are not consistently below freezing so it works great for my needs. It’s definitely not tip proof in a coop it’s easy for the chickens to knock over unless you anchor it. I just got a couple of screws and attached it to the door. ... show more

  • My chickies are happy now!
Color: Black
I have 27 new baby chicks (ordered by mail!!) and they were happy and content when they were tiny in their brooder with a heat lamp. Then they grew, and the more they grew the more they pooped and the worse my garage smelled. I decided to move them outside into a coop a little early and bought this heater to supplement their heat lamp to make sure they stayed healthy. They love it! Some stay near the heat lamp still but most love this heater and cuddle near it. It puts out plenty of heat, needs a larger space that a simple brooder space, heats up quickly and wipes clean - yeah, they still poop a lot but it's easier to deal with now in the bigger space outside. ... show more
