Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The EcoFlow Solar Panels have distinct advantages with its monocrystalline solar panels that offer efficient charging. The panels are portable and come with a built-in kickstand, which according to most reviews, works well for optimal solar exposure. The panel seems to be ideal for those who have limited space, and despite a higher price point, it offers great value with its high potential power output. However, performance may be dependent on specific environmental conditions.

Pros

  • 🌟 Bifacial panels providing additional energy production
  • 💪 Monocrystalline solar panels for efficient charging
  • 🔋 High-capacity solar charging in a single product
  • ✅ Foldable design for portability and easy storage
  • 💧 IP68 waterproof rating

Cons

  • 👎 Backside of panels heavily dependent on sunlight reflection
  • 🏝 Can be tricky to set-up on sand
  • 💔 Flexible body can potentially cause the panels to break
  • 💸 More costly than lesser-known brands

Should I Buy It?

If you're specifically interested in a compact, portable, and efficient solar panel with a built-in kickstand, the EcoFlow Solar Panel may be a good fit. Despite the higher price, it appears to offer solid value with high power output and additional features like IP68 waterproofing. While it may not offer as much power in less optimal environmental conditions, its potential for additional energy production in the right settings is a distinct advantage. Therefore, it's worth considering, especially if portability and efficiency are top priorities in your choice for a solar panel.

  • Just got these a few days ago and only brief test
Size: 160W Solar Panel
These solar panels are pretty great so far. I’m not comfortable giving a perfect 5 stars until I get them out in the field for proper testing. UPDATE June ‘24: great performance out in the field! So happy with them. Upgraded to 5 stars The carrying case is very durable material and the zippers look good quality (time will tell). The case is also used to hold the panels up at varying angles according to the sun position. One side of the case is solid to protect the panels and to enable the angled positions — good design choice. The overall size packed up is not too big and makes it quite portable. For basic testing, I connected this to my Bluetti EB3A (ordered the proper cable from Bluetti to go from Solar to DC7909..?) and set the panels up at a non-specific angle on my apartment balcony. Without trying to get the perfect angle and with some shading due to balcony railing and supports, I was getting ~85-90 Watts charging. May be a bit on the low side, and I’m hoping to see closer to 120-130 W when out in full sun and pointed directly at the sun. Will update after my next camping trip but only 4 stars until I get more data. The attached cables are good quality and were easy to connect to, but a bit difficult to disconnect from. But that may get better as I find a better way and get use to them. UPDATE June ‘24: was getting a whopping 136 W charging my BLUETTI with this panel out on a camping trip!! Great performance I’m happy with the price to performance ratio, basic charging is good, and the case plus size make these quite versatile for car camping, beach trips, or even just a day trip where you need to power basic electronics. I do wish the panels’ power box where the cable came out had at least one USB port for quick connect charging of peripherals, but that’s not a need .. just a nice-to-have. Will update after more use and a chance to see if the charging stays stable or changes drastically over time. ... show more

  • 400W ECOFLOW Portable Solar Panels Worked Fine (348W peak midday, SE Texas, July, no clouds)
Size: 400W Solar Panel
I used two 400W portable solar panels with the 3600WH EF ECOFLOW Delta Pro home battery system after Hurricane Beryl. The ECOFLOW Pro description on Amazon included the words "Solar Generator for Home Use", but the solar panels are sold separately. The solar panels and battery unit were easy to set up. Battery can be charged quickly from wall outlet and much slower from solar panels. Battery has 4 AC outlets. Although it is fairly heavy, battery unit comes with wheels and a collapsible handle similar to today's travel bags. Solar panels are a slow way to recharge and totally dependent on sun. They work well for 4-5 hours at mid day in SE Texas, but do not work at night and work poorly in the morning, evening and when cloudy. However, the 800W's of solar panels I used produced a peak of 695W at mid day with no clouds. I have experience with 12 roof top solar panels and this performance by these folding, portable panels is very good. I used the system to power my refrigerator (about 5 hours each day), my entertainment system (including TV, DVR, DVD player, sound system, WiFi, laptop), a lamp and a radio phone. I also, when needed, used it to power a garage door opener, chain saw, microwave oven, hair dryer and recharged backup batteries for my iPhone, home security base station and fiber optic cable connector. Solar panels come with water resistant, padded carrying cases that are also designed to support the solar panels if you need them at an angle. ... show more

  • Just in time
Size: 220W Solar Panel
The ECOFLOW 220 watt bifacial foldable solar panel, ECOFLOW River 2 Pro along with ECOFLOW’S Wave 2 with add on battery, proved to be an absolute game-changer during Hurricane Idalia. Having a portable solar panel during a hurricane is a reassuring and practical choice for emergency preparedness. When Hurricane Idalia struck our area, the portable solar panel proved to be an invaluable asset. Its compact and lightweight design made it easy to set up, even in adverse weather conditions. Despite the looming power outage, we were able to harness the sun's energy and charge essential devices. This extended our ability to stay connected, receive weather updates, and communicate with loved ones. The portability of the solar panel allowed us to position it for maximum sunlight exposure, ensuring a consistent supply of electricity. It became a reliable source of power for charging phones, operating small appliances, and running emergency lights. One of the standout advantages was its sustainability. While other power sources fuel dependencies or technical issues, the solar panel kept performing, reducing our carbon footprint and providing a sense of security. In the aftermath of the hurricane, the solar panel continued to be a valuable resource, ensuring we had access to essential power as the recovery efforts took place. Having a portable solar panel during a hurricane demonstrated the importance of self-reliance and sustainability in times of crisis. It's an investment that not only eases the immediate challenges but also contributes to a more resilient and environmentally conscious future. ... show more

  • Very handy when your off grid
Size: 220W Solar Panel
Bought this product as a back up charger for my EcoFlow River 2 Pro for when we are out camping or off grid! Its awesome! Not as fast as an AC charging outlet but definitely does the job depending on how much sun your getting. Also love that that the back side of the product also has solar panels to add extra charge from ambient light. Easy to connect! The panels feel strong and durable, alot heavier than I thought it'd be. The one downside for me would be the the case/stand set up. No matter how you configure it on its case/stand, it really doesn't allow for the best positioning. I just set up 3 camping chairs and laid the panels across them directly facing the sun and was able to pull full charging power from my panels. ... show more
