  • 2.0 out of 5 stars It's OK...
The bike itself seems to work pretty well, but the clip in pedals and the app/tablet aren't great... Clip in pedals broke the first time I used them. The company sent me a new set which was nice, but they still aren't great even when they "work". Foot keeps slipping out no matter how much I tighten the clip. The app on the built-in tablet likes to crash. Often right in the middle or even at the end of your workout which means you don't get credit for any of it. I know the exercise is supposed to be the reward, but it's nice to see your progress and such which is hard when it keeps crashing... What's worse is that the resistance suddenly drops off when this happens. So if you're up off the saddle, pedaling your heart out when it crashes... Suddenly the pedals fall loose and you're in for some hurt. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Bike
I did a lot of research on stationary bikes and subscriptions before I made this purchase. My wife and I are thrilled with this bike and with the subscription so far. Installation was straight forward and setup was easy. I’m a big guy and the bike feels very sturdy and well built. Echelon also has a great community which offers a lot of support. I got this at a great price compared other brands. I’d highly recommend doing your own research, but I’m glad we went with Echelon. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE! Subscription required!
I wanted an indoor bike that was durable and after some search I decided on this top Echelon model at the time. I was not planning on getting there subscriptions for paid training sessions, and all I wanted was to be able to get on, turn something on the large screen while I had a free style exercise. First I realized that the screen can only show paid training sessions or the free scenic 20-30 min tours of some select cities. I was OK with that. Then I had some construction at the house and I could not use the bike for a while. When I had the first chance I realized that I cannot even access those free scenic videos. It is there but does not turn on. A quick online chat revealed that perhaps I had some free membership for a few months which was over and I need to pay the company to be able to even adjust the stiffness of the pedaling to enjoy a free style ride. Whattt!!! It is false advertising and no where I agreed to pay $2000+ to get a piece of metal junk in my house unless I accept to be milked. Shame on Echelon and Amazon for false advertising. Beware! It is like buying a car, fully paid, but not being able to even drive, just allowed to sit inside and pretend you are driving, unless you keep paying the dealer or the car company. I did not lease this equipment, I purchased it! If I want your training sessions I will pay for it, but I cannot be prevented to enjoy its functionality! If I was not passed the return window I would not have hesitated a minute! ... show more

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars Resistance isn't Working
The resistance knob isn't working after two months of use. You turn the knob to lower resistance and it increases the resistance. You cannot reset it until after the workout has ended. I like the bike and the classes but it's limited in use if I can't adjust the resistance.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars Broken after 4 months. Support is little help.
The first 3 months of this bike were wonderful, until the pedal broke off on month 4. The crank arm on it is completely stripped, and, although support was quick to respond, this bike is impossible to repair yourself. So now I’m sitting here with an $800 bike that doesn’t work, and I can’t return it or do anything about it. Absolutely frustrating. ... show more

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars Warranty part support is TERRIBLE.
2 star due to support. Bought an EX7 directly from Echelon. Bike was great - interface worked well. A week in the left pedal fell off leaving crank arm and pedal damaged. No big deal, it happens. Immediate first response from warranty support was great but they sent out wrong crank and pedal. So a week or so later had to re-order and wait again another week for correct parts. Second time received correct crank arm, but no pedal. Still no operable bike and waiting again for another week because they refuse to upgrade shipping to expedite. The reps are responsive but not sympathetic to timing and whoever pulls the parts and ships is terrible. I think we will like the bike once I fix it with new parts - someday. If I get pedal in 10 days like they say - it will be a month since I ordered first replacement part. Not good. ... show more
