  • Won't live up to 2800mAh claim, too large to fit some devices, but support is great
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
According to the Wikipedia "AA battery" page, quote: "An AA cell measures 49.2–50.5 mm (1.94–1.99 in) in length, including the button terminal—and 13.5–14.5 mm (0.53–0.57 in) in diameter." When I try to measure some old Energizer rechargeables or some no-name NiMH that came with my walkie-talkies (or some alkalines), they all seem to be right around 13.5mm. In contrast, the diameter of these particular batteries from EBL pushes right up against that 14.5mm limit, much like some recent Tenergy-branded ones I bought. The point being: they don't fit in my nice walkie-talkies nor in some RC cars. They DO fit in some semi-professional audio equipment, but .... I didn't buy them for that. Bummer. Also, see the pictures where I did a full charge-test cycle on all 8 of them with the Tenergy TN456 charger. Note that not a single one came anywhere close to 2.8Ah. Update 2023-08-12: EBL contacted me after seeing this review. They explained what I already knew (that the size of these batteries fall within valid specs for an AA cell) and asked if I wanted to do a refund. I didn't respond -- I figured there wasn't really anything wrong with them and it would be too much trouble. After a few days, they went ahead and issued me a refund anyway. My experience with their customer service bodes well for their brand. Raised rating by 1 star. ... show more

  • Too big for battery charger
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
I can't speak to whether these batteries are good or bad etc. My problem is on receiving the batteries and checking the charge, they don't fit my AA battery charger. I've got a good 4 battery drawer type charger that I use for all my other rechargeable batteries. The diameter of the EBLs are just a bit too big which doesn't allow the drawer to close. Now this brings up the question of will the EBLS fit in all my flashlights and other devices. Plus would still need a new charger that will work with them. Ah life's little quandaries. ... show more

  • Check them as soon as you get them.
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
Some people complain about these batteries, but the truth is that rechargeable batteries do not hold charge for very long and tend to get damaged if they remain discharged. Therefore, it is very important to check your batteries as soon as you get them. I have been lucky enough to receive all my EBL batteries with at least 80% charge. If your batteries come discharged, charge them immediately: If they reach 100%, that's a good sign, but do put them to use and check again. EBL tends to provide excellent support (as many reviews attest) but it is better to identify any bad batteries ASAP. Lastly, pro tip: Get a proper battery charger. I use the MiBOXER from Cosoos. There are even better chargers, but the MiBOXER is a huge leap from the common dumb charger that won't care if your batteries are boiling. ... show more

  • Best choice!
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
I've been using these for about 6 years. I'm up to 50 or so scattered around in various uses. I keep some charged up to swap out whenever they run down. It's not necessary, but I use a Powerex Maha charger. I have some remotes that eat batteries, and these keep the remotes going at minimum cost. I also have them in automatic kitchen lights, electronic timers of several types, test meters, etc. In the time that I've had them, only one has failed outright -- it would no longer recharge. When it failed, it was completely dead, but not a dead short: it was an open circuit. It did not leak when it failed. I've never had one leak, and that's a big deal to me. Alkaline batteries can do serious damage when they leak. Using these eliminates that risk. For example, I have them in a Fluke 189 test meter that would cost $800 to replace if I could find one. Early rechargeables didn't hold a charge very long. These hold about as long as good throw-away alkalines. I do use non-rechargeable Eveready lithiums in applications where I need super-long (think 5+ years) shelf life with very low and very infrequent drain. I highly recommend these for normal everyday use. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality, High Capacity
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
Great batteries… very good quality. I’ve completely stopped using non-rechargeable batteries; I use them in all kinds of things, musical equipment, TV remotes, Wii controllers, whatever. They work great, and are much higher capacity than alkaline batteries, so they last a lot longer in anything I use them in. This is also a great price for an 8-pack. ... show more

  • drain very quickly
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
The batteries drain very quickly. The small wireless mouse can work for less than a month but on Duracell 6 months. I was pleasantly surprised when the seller reached out to me, expressing their commitment to ensuring complete customer satisfaction with their products. As a gesture of goodwill, they offered me a new set of batteries. While I haven't had the chance to test the batteries yet, I truly appreciate this kind action. In light of their excellent customer service, I've decided to update my 3-star to a 5-star rating. ... show more

  • My favorite rechargables
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
I've got a pile of AA and AAA batteries, and 2 chargers, and whenever I need more batteries, I just reorder more of these. Not due to them dying, I just need a lot of batteries for kids stuff.

  • Great Value and Long Life!
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought these to replace all of my non-rechargables. I use these in everything. My switch controller, gameboy, gameboy color, and more. They seem to have very long life and charge very fast. I have yet to need to replace them in the consoles and have only needed 1 to 2 recharges for my controller since purchasing. Very good deal! ... show more
