  • 1 faulty battery in 16-pack with low capacity.
Size: 16 Count (Pack of 1)
Out of the 16-pack of Amazon AA rechargeable batteries, 1 battery had a very low capacity. Upon receiving the batteries, I tested the claimed 2000 mAh capacity of these new batteries on a Xtar VC8 Plus battery charger. The Xtar VC8 Plus has a feature to test and record a battery capacity. The result was 15 of the batteries tested with a capacity above 1900 mAh, so they were close to the claimed capacity of 2000 mAh. However, 1 battery had a very low capacity of 1095 mAh (See photo). I also tested an EBL AA battery with a claimed 2800 mAh. The result was only 2190 mAh. In summary, other than the 1 faulty battery, the Amazon AA rechargeable batteries perform close to the claimed 2000 mAh capacity. ... show more

  • Great quality batteries to power all our devices
Size: 16 Count (Pack of 1)
I have purchased many of these rechargeable batteries for a plethora of products around the house including my kids toys which is A LOT of toys. I should have switched from disposables to rechargeable batteries years ago! These are the most affordable rechargeable batteries in my opinion and shipping is fast sometimes they come same day for me. The quality is excellent, they look great (green stands out and makes it easy to spot), and they appear to have high capacity and last a long time. Since I have so many, I’m waiting for a charging dock that can charge 25 or more batteries on the same block/dock. One can only dream of the day! Overall, 5 out of 5 stars for quality, color, and convenience of having rechargeable batteries instead of disposables laying around. ... show more

  • Reliable and Long-Lasting: Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh
Size: 16 Count (Pack of 1)
Switching to rechargeable batteries has been a great decision, and the Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh, have exceeded my expectations. Here’s why these batteries are a smart choice for anyone looking to go green and save money: High Capacity: These batteries come with a 2000 mAh capacity, providing long-lasting power for a variety of devices. Whether it’s remote controls, wireless mice, flashlights, or kids’ toys, these batteries deliver reliable performance that keeps devices running longer between charges. Cost-Effective: Investing in a pack of 16 rechargeable batteries is a cost-effective decision in the long run. They can be recharged hundreds of times, which significantly reduces the need to buy disposable batteries. This not only saves money but also minimizes waste, making it an eco-friendly option. Consistent Performance: The performance of these batteries is consistently good. They hold their charge well and deliver stable power throughout their use. I’ve experienced no drop-off in performance, even after multiple recharge cycles. Pre-Charged and Ready to Use: One of the convenient features is that these batteries come pre-charged and ready to use right out of the pack. There’s no need to charge them before first use, which is great for immediate needs. Low Self-Discharge: These batteries have a low self-discharge rate, which means they retain their charge for longer periods when not in use. This is especially useful for devices that are used infrequently, as you don’t have to worry about the batteries being dead when you need them. Easy to Recharge: Recharging these batteries is simple with any standard NiMH charger. They charge relatively quickly and are ready to go again in no time. I’ve had no issues with overcharging or overheating. Durable and Reliable: The build quality of these batteries is solid. They feel durable and have held up well through numerous charge and discharge cycles. I’ve experienced no leakage or performance issues, which is a testament to their reliability. Versatile Use: With 16 batteries in the pack, there are plenty to go around for various devices in the house. I’ve even kept a few in reserve for when other batteries need recharging. They’re versatile and can be used in any device that takes AA batteries. Environmentally Friendly: Using rechargeable batteries is a great way to reduce environmental impact. By cutting down on disposable battery use, these Amazon Basics batteries help decrease the amount of hazardous waste that ends up in landfills. Overall: Overall, the Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh, are a fantastic choice for anyone looking for reliable, long-lasting power. They offer excellent value, consistent performance, and an eco-friendly alternative to disposable batteries. • Work well overall
Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
They come partly charged and charge quickly. They seem to hold a long charge early but previous purchases of the same seem to loose that and don't seem to have the recharge cycles as advertised. Worked well enough for the price to purchase twice.

  • Impressive cell at a very fair price
Size: 24 Count (Pack of 1)
Initial Impressions: The batteries arrived nicely packaged in a cardboard box, with six, individually wrapped packages of four cells each. My testing process for new cells is pretty extensive and these Amazon Basic’s pre-charged cells, at least on the initial round of testing prove to be of very good quality. All 24 cells were weighed for consistency. All of the cells measured in at 27 grams, plus or minus 0.03 grams indicating that the manufacturing quality for the active material is highly consistent. The 24 cells then were put through an initial capacity discharge test utilizing an ISDT 24 channel charger. 20 of the 24 cells showed an initial capacity ranging from 1890 to 1920 mAH, and four cells showed an initial capacity of between 1310 and 1400 mAH. The cells are rated by Amazon as 2000 mAH cells, so the 20 cells came pre-charged at 95% full. I assume that the four outliers were not charged fully at the factory. All 24 cells were once again placed in the ISDT charger, this time, set for activation charge, where the cells are charged and discharged three times in succession to distribute the electrolyte equally within the cell, and fully charge the cell to its maximum capacity. All 24 cells charged to beyond the Amazon rated capacity with the average capacity at 2130 mAH. The fourth round of testing involved a torture test utilizing a West Mountain Radio Computerized Battery Analyzer. Each battery underwent a mission profile test, at constant current, until the output voltage dropped to cutoff. Again, each battery, under constant load, exhibited a measured capacity of between 1920 and 1975 mAH. The fifth round of testing was a random selection of four cells to be put back on the CBA and a discharge test ran, again at constant current, plotting the results of all four cells on the same graph. All four cells had a discharge profile that is extremely consistent, and flat across the entire time until the cell was exhausted. The sixth round involves a self-discharge test, again four random cells were selected and were measured for their open-circuit voltage. After 48 hours, these same cells were measured again, and their open-circuit voltage compared. The self-discharge was again, very consistent, and was on average 0.03V from the initial measurement. While 48 hours is a very short period to test for self-discharge over time, it’s encouraging to see that there was little in the way of voltage loss. I set two random cells aside, that will be measured at 30, 60, 90, and 180 days to see if this low discharge is maintained over an extended period of time. At this point, after the testing performed, I would rate these cells as excellent quality, and an excellent price point. Most of my cells are Eneloop, and I was curious to see how the Amazon cells would perform compared to the Eneloop and the Ikea Ladda cells, which are the same. I’ve been using rechargeable cells since the NiCd days, as there is something inherently wrong with the idea of buying something only to toss it in the trash a few days or weeks later. Add to that all Alkaline batteries will eventually leak and destroy what they are installed in, I am happy to see that there is a lower cost, quality cell available. Only time will tell if they are truly an equal to the Eneloop brand of battery, most of mine are still going strong after almost 15 years of pretty demanding service. ... show more
