I have had Energizer Batteries in flashlights, radios (remember?), and toys and have found them extremely reliable and they don't leak. I keep several sizes on hand at all times. Good: One of two brands of batteries I rely on. Long life; excellent shelf life; have never had a bad one come out of the box. Bad: What's with the Russian-doll packaging? A single box, containing two boxes, each of which contain six smaller boxes, each of which contain four batteries. Add to that the Amazon packaging and that's four nested layers of boxes. I'm no tree-hugger, but I don't appreciate having to pay for a bunch of unnecessary packaging that goes straight into the recycling bin. Bottom line: I'll be buying these again because they're good batteries, but please, Amazon and Energizer, just put them all in a single box next time. These batteries are good quality, a reasonable value, work well and I have no complaints for general use. We always keep several boxes around the house for when we need to use new batteries.

    • REAL Energizer MAX, NOT Counterfeit HOORAY
These are real energizer MAX batteries, sold at the Energizer store here on Amazon, NOT counterfeit and not someone’s return. They are ALL marked USA on the top of each battery and Made in USA on the little individual boxes, both AA and AAA. I have NEVER had an authentic Energizer battery leak in a device, controller, remove, flashlight or anything else. This is why I only purchase Energizer, and because they are made in the US. Be advised, I have purchased the Energizer MAX AAA and AA 48 packs for years here on Amazon, but recently found Energizer is no longer selling under those listings here (the one with 78K and 56K reviews)…but someone is. When I received my MAX AAA batteries I knew something was off. The packaging was all wrong, most of the packs were opened. They were dull and scratched. At first I thought this was someone’s return, but when I received the same thing a few days later on the AA’s I knew there was a problem. Most were dead. I looked at the tops and saw China on the AA’s and nothing on the AAA’s. Bingo. Energizer AA and AAA have always been made in the US (hooray), that why they don’t leak. See the reviews. People are posting photos of the tops showing China and there are SCORES of “most recent” reviews showing leaks, etc.. Yup, the knock offs are leaking and ruining devices. I then went to the Energizer Store here on Amazon and the listings for the AA and AAA 48 packs of Energizer MAX that I had purchased were not there. I don’t know who’s using this listing to sell, but it’s not Energizer. Fortunately, this multipack of 24 AA MAX and 24 AAA MAX IS being sold by Energizer at their Amazon store. It’s the real McCoy!
