  • The Eco-Worthy 280AH Battery w/ Bluetooth is the best Value on the market!
Style: 12.8V 280Ah
I wanted to share my experience asap, while the battery is still on sale. I received my Eco-Worthy 280AH battery exactly 1 week ago. It shipped very fast, was packaged well, and arrived undamaged. I have put it through a few cycles and monitored it's performance closely. It exceeds it's rated capacity, and performs as advertised. I watched quite a few video reviews of the battery before deciding on it. Eco-Worthy has exceptional build quality, with a metal cage protecting the cells and keeping them under light compression, to avoid swelling. There are more expensive batteries that do not have this build quality. Additionally, Eco-Worthy has the BMS mounted to the metal frame, isolated from the cells, which should allow for better thermal management. The metal bracing should protect the cells from vibration and keep them properly compressed. This will prevent any swelling during cycles and should increase the lifespan of the battery. The BMS was a key factor in my decision to buy the Eco-Worthy. My battery came with a JBD-DP04S007 200A BMS. This was important to me because JBD has a good reputation for quality, and I also knew that a JBD BMS should be compatible with other BMS monitoring software. In particular, I was looking for a battery who's JBD BMS was compatible with the Overkill Solar app. I can confirm that my battery & BMS are compatible with the Overkill Solar app. This is important for me because it allows me to monitor the performance & configuration of the battery in more precise detail than with the stock software. The factory BMS configuration appears to be well calibrated, so I saw no need to change any settings, and if you are using the Overkill Solar app I would advise you to leave the settings as they come from the factory. Probably the only suggestions for improvement I have for Eco-Worthy, would be to improve their application to show more details, and to have better compatibility with tablets. And also I would like for the BMS to be password protected. The Eco-Worthy app works well, it provides the basic functionality and information necessary to monitor your battery, but I prefer the Overkill Solar app. Overkill Solar performs better on my iPad Pro, it allows me to use it in landscape mode in full screen. And of course, on both my android phone and iPad, I can monitor the precise cell voltages in the Overkill Solar app, I can see when they are balancing, and I can also review all of the factory configuration BMS settings. After my initial full charge and allowing the battery a few hours to balance the cells, the cell balance delta has been very good. The cells in this battery appear to be well matched, they appear to be grade A as advertised, and perform well throughout the working voltage range. I will attach some screen shots to demonstrate this. I have been able to power all the appliances I was hoping to run with this battery, when paired with my 2000w Giandel inverter. Including my microwave, instant pot, induction stovetop burner, electric heater, etc.. I expect that this battery will perform reliably for many years. Eco-Worthy claims 6000 cycles / 15 years, and I expect that will be true. Eco-Worthy is delivering the best value battery here IMO, when you consider the build quality, quality cells, and capacity for the price. Their support was also responsive and helpful when I reached out to them with questions, they stand behind their product and are willing to work with customers whenever there is an issue. Since this is a review after only a week of testing, I will come back and update it if anything changes. ... show more

  • Outstanding customer service, quality construction
Style: 12.8V 280Ah
The battery that I received measured nearly 0 V across the battery terminals, even after fully charging with an Eco-Worthy 20 A LiFePO4 charger. I contacted Exo-Worthy customer service and they responded the next day with some instructions for evaluating the battery, and upon completing the evaluation they determined that the battery was defective and immediately shipped a replacement free of charge. The replacement battery worked perfectly and has met all of my expectations. Eco-Worthy asked if I’d be willing to conduct a tear down of the original defective battery, to help determine the cause of the problem so that they could use the information to improve their product. I agreed, and upon opening the battery case and removing the cell pack I discovered that the BMS cable had been routed in a manner that resulted in it being pinched between a steel bracket and the side of the battery box, which ultimately cut one of the 5 wires. I reported the findings to Eco-Worthy and they immediately shipped me a new BMS cable, again free of charge, so that I had the opportunity to repair it if I would like to do so. I did and the battery now works flawlessly. The customer support team at Eco-Worthy was outstanding, and despite initial disappointment with the defective unit I would not hesitate to buy another Eco-Worthy product considering the phenomenal customer support that they demonstrated. Repairing the first battery also provided me the opportunity to evaluate the design and construction of the internal components, and I was very impressed with what I saw! The four battery cells were all secured together in a custom designed, powder coated steel cage, neatly secured together and protected with a dense foam product on all sides. The BMS was a JBD (Jiabaida) brand; a high quality, respected and well known BMS manufacturer. The BMS was securely mounted to the cage structure, complete with an aluminum heat sink and plenty of air space surrounding it. The BMS cable was a customer harness, wrapped in cable cloth and each wire was cut to match the distance to the corresponding cell terminal. Ring terminals were crimped to each wire end and heat shrink protected the connection. The 5 pin end of the harness at the BMS included a dab of sealant to ensure it remained connected. The cell connections were all secure, with the final positive and negative terminals in the series secured with a nut that included some sort of thread lock material. Lastly, the positive and negative wires were 6 gage silicone cable, and were routed in such a way to ensure that the positive and negative could never come into contact or abrade against each other to short the battery. All in all, the quality of the internal construction and the quality of the components used were very impressive. I’m very pleased that I purchased this Eco-Worthy battery. ... show more

  • Bought 2
Style: 12.8V 280Ah

  • Excellent Value. Great support. The real deal.
Style: 12.8V 280Ah
I have spent about 2 years (not months) trying to find a drop in solution for my RV to run my electronics (2tvs, lights, residential refrigerator, sound bar, phone chargers etc..) I wanted around 300ah single 12v lithium that I could mount under the stairwell where my current 12v lead acid battery are. I couldn't justify spending $1,000 or much more. I have a 2000w pure sine wave inverter.(4,000max) This battery not only lasts 48 hrs + but now my inverter is much stronger and can run microwave at the same time and/or space heaters. On top of that, I didn't spend anywhere near $1,000 ( more like 1/2 that cost) and I'm good for the next 10 years. I had a price concern and these guys matched a president days sale price from a competitor. The 280ah battery showed up in a few days, fit perfect, and I am over the moon happy! The only thing you need to do( this is important) is either replace to your onboard battery charger or make sure it's lithium compatible and make sure it can charge the battery up to 14.6 volts. Typical RV chargers on 2018 or older don't charge to 14.6 volts(only 13.6volts normally) not only can you damage your new lithium battery but at 13.6 volts the lithium battery is around 30%soc at 13.6 volts. To summarize, I replaced 2 (100ah) lead acid batterys with 1 (280ah) lithium battery. This unit is drop in ready, about 5 times the reserve capacity(remember lithium can be discharged close to 0% vs. about 50% on leas acid) has built in 150amp max discharge bms, and has great customer support for around $500. If you've been waiting like I have to make the upgrade do yourself and everyone around you a favor and buy this battery now! You'll thank me later! ... show more
