MY PC started stuttering when watching some streaming videos. I thought it was a connection issue but it turns out my CPU was running hot and slowing itself down. I installed a program to monitor my cpu temps. and I found out my temps were over 200 degrees! No wonder things were shutting down! Turns out there was not a good heat paste connection between the heat sink and CPU. I cleaned the surfaces and applied an amount slightly larger than a piece of rice, then reinstalled the heat sink/fan. Temps are now comfortably in the 100 degree range, even when streaming an HD movie. I even had extra paste left over, until the dog ate it. Yes, the dog ate it right off my side table. You put a little goo on the cpu heat sink,maybe a tiny bit on top of the chip. Then spread it around with the included plastic tool it comes with. You can also just smear it on the processor and a touch on the heatsink so whatever. As good as any other thermal paste. Amazon wanted me to review it for some reason. Contains enough paste for a couple of builds. Just be careful not to get it on your clothes...it won't come out if that happens. ... show more
