Description

The Earthquake Chipper Shredder K33 features a compact, portable design and is the ideal height for operation, the right geometry for easy transport, and compact for efficient storage. The unit stands 34” tall, so there is no need to lift material over your head. The handlebar is angled to put the center of gravity directly above the wheels for stability during transport. The compact, square shape of the unit gives it a small footprint in the garage. The 11” airless wheels allow the chipper shredder to be moved easily over roots, ruts and other uneven terrain. Thanks to the airless design of the wheels, you will never have to worry about a flat tire on your chipper shredder. Made with tough, durable components, the Earthquake K33 is made to last. The rugged steel hopper is designed to efficiently feed plant matter into the grinding chamber and to withstand the bangs and bumps that occur when working with large limbs. Also, in the grinding chamber the tri- and j-hammers will reduce material 20:1. This chipper shredder is strong enough to power through 3” diameter branches and masses of leaves and twigs. Earthquake not only includes a debris bag as standard equipment; it also has features not seen elsewhere that make it the easiest bag to use in the industry. Among its features are a Bottom-Out zipper, rugged fabric handles for carrying, and a Dock-and-Lock bag connector that allows you to connect your bag to the unit securely and remove it quickly. Check out the optional Earthquake Chipper Shredder Vacuum kit and Tow Bar (both sold separately) for additional chore tackling equipment.

  • how well it preforms
Style: Chipper Shredder K32 - 212cc
This chipper works really well. I had a large limb fall down along with a lot of other brush I needed to get rid of. It was either pay someone or haul it off which would pay for the chipper, and I can't burn it. I also have a garden that I will compost this down so I don't have to buy soil anymore. I didn't use anything larger than 2" limbs and will use the rest in the fireplace and to cook with. I ended up with 12 large bags of mulch which chops it up in about 1/4" pieces. This chipper works really well and has a lot of power. I absolutely love it ... show more

  • works as advertised , but
Style: Chipper Shredder K33 - 301cc
Manufacturer might not realize that at this price range it is not a professional that uses it , and instructions could be much improved , for a simple gardener might struggle with it . However , it works and it works well Pro(love it , if not for the cons I would give it 5+ stars ): 1. it takes branches much bigger then I expected , takes it relatively easy 2. it mulches much better ( smaller and more split ) then the normal bug of mulch from Home Depot, which makes it much better mulch and it will disintegrate much better and it will retain water much better , that is a HUGE plus to an organic gardener 3. it gas consumption is reasonable 4. bug size is big , and it is an equivalent of two off the shelf bugs of mulch , 3 bugs if you consider better consistency Con: 1. Instructions are cryptic and might as well be a puzzle 2. because of the #1 assembly is not straight forward 3. The starting this thing is often problematic , it is somewhat capricious, especially for a person who never worked with combustion engines of this type 4. rubber safety strips are not very effective , chips are flying out , glasses and industrial gloves are not just a safety precautions , they are necessity, must have ... show more

  • Works great with Predator Chipper/Shredder!
Style: Tow Bar Kit for Chipper Shredder
I needed something to pull my Predator wood chipper behind my four wheeler and this was the perfect fit and works great. Should fit the Predator chippers sold by Amazon and Harbor Freight. I did modify it so I could put a pin through the sliding shaft instead of using the enclosed little bolt and having to carry a wrench whenever it needed adjusted. It's not necessary but I highly recommend it. I drilled a hole at the upright travel position and another where the machine sits firmly on the ground for use. Now all I have to do when I get to the location of the limbs is pull the pin from the tow position and slide it in the running position, no tools needed, and it's ready to go! ... show more

  • 4 star performance but I have issues with quality and warranty
Style: Chipper Shredder K32 - 212cc
Edited Jan 2024. Original review @ Feb 2023. The GOOD: This is a branch eating, leaf chewing, twig grinding monster! See pic of the results of leaves branches and twigs chewed up by the machine. I’ve run it for about a week straight now and am pleased with its compact design and mechanical performance. The BAD: 1: The PLASTIC connector cracked/ broke (see pic) I tried to repair it with epoxy but It didn’t really hold together. That’s a crucial part if you want to catch the ejected debris from the machine. Replacement cost is @ $37 plus shipping. 2: The bag threading is coming undone (see pic) They used a light gauge thread where I would recommend a heavy duty nylon thread with double or triple stitching. To replace the bag it’ll cost @ $134 unless you have some sewing skills. 3. In October 2023 as I was inspecting the machine I bought in Feb 2023 up for Fall work I discovered the welds on the leaf hopper were coming apart. It was difficult establishing communications with the CS dept but eventually I did and was promised a replacement hopper by December 2023. It’s now Jan 2024 and still no hopper. 4. The cutters go dull after one season and the design requires you to purchase special locking devices for the bolts that secure the cutters. 1 star for poor quality and poor customer service. The performace is 4 stars Material quality is 1 stars Warranty Support 1 star Overall rating is 1 stars. ... show more

Style: Chipper Shredder K33 - 301cc
I would give this a higher rating but the company pissed me off initially when it was supposed to be delivered in a week and ended up taking 3 weeks just to ship. Instructions weren't incredibly clear or detailed. Finding the right washers for build-up was a little misleading. The leather straps that go into the hopper aren't listed in the instructions. As far as operation goes, the shredder portion on top works great and eats everything the right size range that I feed it. The chipper is a bit of a let down. Manual says 3" but if that wood is properly seasoned it'll be far too much of a pain to use. Very wet or overly dry works pretty well, but if it would make good firewood it should be disposed of as such. A nice additional tool to add would be something to help push stubborn logs down the shoot. I found the perfect sized branch to do so but not everyone can get as lucky as I did. ... show more
